The Warriors have reached a one-year deal with free agent forward Rudy Gay, as confirmed by agent Sam Permut in a tweet by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Wojnarowski also reports that Gay will participate in training camp to vie for a place on the regular-season roster for Golden State.

Gay had been with the Utah Jazz for the past two seasons and had exercised his player option to secure a salary of $6.48 million for the 2023/24 season.

However, he was traded twice during the offseason: first to Atlanta as part of the John Collins trade, and then to Oklahoma City in exchange for Patty Mills.

Following his release by the Thunder, he became an unrestricted free agent in July.
