Virgo Monthly Horoscope – Virgo Horoscope for March 2023 From the AstroTwins

MONTH OF August

Wired or tired? You could feel a bit of both this month, Virgo. It’s languid Leo season until August 23, and the Sun resting in your healing and escapist twelfth house. Like a big jungle cat stretched on a hot savannah rock ledge, you may want to do nothing more than bask in the summer vibes, follow the muse and indulge your senses. With Venus also retrograde in Leo all month, you might need some extra time to yourself, perhaps to process some throttled emotions or return to an abandoned creative project.

But don’t sink too deep into that hammock, Virgo. Energizer Mars is making a summer visit to Virgo from July 10 to August 27. Your active imagination (thanks, Leo season!) could also spark the motivation (courtesy Mars) to turn a dream into reality. When’s the last time you bought some art supplies, doodled, danced or even wrote a poem? If the mere idea of that makes you feel silly, Virgo, then all the better. This is the month to set your spirit free and unleash those wild forces within.

We’ve got a rare TWO full moons this month to support your efforts, Virgo. Both potent supermoons, there’s an August 1 Aquarius full moon powering up your wellness efforts and an August 30 Pisces full moon beaming into your relationship house. Start treating your body like a temple at the top of the month and by the end of it, someone else could do the same!

Back to those retrogrades: Reclaiming and recovering old parts of yourself is a worthwhile calling this month. And while you’re traversing down memory lane, a relationship retrospective might take place too. From the return of an ex to the repair of a chronic couple’s issue, your inner circle needs some care and feeding. Why? Well, not only is love planet Venus retrograde, but three other planets—Saturn, Neptune and Pluto—are retrograde all of August. Saturn and Neptune are backspinning through Pisces and your partnership house, while Pluto is in Capricorn and your romance zone. Tend to your ties, but also take ample time for you!

Virgo season begins August 23, but alas, it doesn’t go off without a hitch. Your ruling planet Mercury, the galactic guardian of communication, technology and travel, turns retrograde in Virgo that same day, a reverse commute that lasts until September 15. Then, on August 28, disruptor Uranus also turns retrograde in Taurus and your expansive ninth house. The message here is to, well, watch your messaging. Say less and think/write/contemplate more. Hold off on sharing certain ideas and opinions until later next month.

The good news: This gives you time to reflect and perfect! By the end of the month, there will be SIX retrograde planets (and seven if you throw in wounded healer Chiron). Slow down and think before you act. Better to postpone decisions and think through every option. Here’s a date to set your sights on: September 15. Not only does Mercury correct course, but the year’s only Virgo new moon marks your personal new year, a fresh start and the ideal moment to start debuting your brilliance.

It’s Leo season until August 23—welcome the muse

With the Leo Sun basking in your twelfth house of rest, closure and the subconscious until August 23, it’s time to de-stress and take life at a much slower pace. Spend some delicious hours (or days) off the grid when you can, Virgo. This is your annual time to escape and rejuvenate. Your imagination is at its annual high, which could bring richly creative moments and powerful healing. With harmonious Venus retrograde in Leo from July 22 to September 3, you might return to an old creative pursuit or reengage with an artistic talent.

Keep as much white space in your calendar as possible to follow the muse or do some deep inner work. If you’re an avid reader, music lover or movie buff, you’ll get an extra dose of pleasure from whatever fills your head (and heart) now, along with an added ability to make connections and see messages that were formerly hidden. Follow the signs!

The timing couldn’t be better since you’ll want to be properly rested up before Virgo season kicks off. Is there a chapter of your life you want to release? Let go of limiting beliefs, work on your self-sabotaging mindset and wrap up any lingering pieces of a project that’s ready to be completed.

The Aquarius full supermoon is on August 1

Cleanup time! The month begins with an August 1 Aquarius full moon, which will spotlight your sixth house of heclass=”body-el-link standard-body-el-link” alth, processes and systems. Since this supermoon falls in the “Virgo house” (you’re the sixth zodiac sign), it won’t take much effort to whip you into a deep cleaning, decluttering and organizing frenzy.

Are you ready to kick off a new fitness plan or switch up your menu to seasonal summer fare? The sixth house rules digestion, making this a great time to focus on gut health, probiotics and cleanses (with the advice of a medical professional, of course). If you’ve been putting off those doctor’s visits, schedule your annual check-ups.

Helpful people are also governed by the sixth house. Where can you delegate and automate instead of DIY-ing? At this full moon, determine where you could boost your skills AND outsource for greater efficiency. Look back to the January 21 Aquarius new moon for clues about what could manifest.

The August 16 Leo new moon brings a healing touch

The dreamy August atmosphere gets an added boost on August 16 with the arrival of the Leo new moon. What are you ready to create space for in your life? This new moon will open a fresh chapter that unfolds between today and the Leo FULL moon on January 25, 2024.

Surrender struggle and do some work to release an old grudge or resentment. (Venus retrogradeclass=”body-el-link standard-body-el-link” is already helping with this we hope!) This new moon is making close contact with Lilith, the “dark moon” point. Don’t be surprised if some anger or resentment churns up. Let yourself write that angry letter and burn it or have a cathartic, gut-wrenching sob.

If a limiting belief has been holding you back, address it head-on so you can heal. If you’re seeking a soulmate, write down the “vision” of the relationship you want or try a vison-boarding exercise to call them in under this lunar event. It’s a perfect window to begin a spiritual practice, like yoga or meditation, or to cultivate an artistic talent.

But please pace yourself here, Virgo. The new moon is set in a challenging 90-degree square to unpredictable and irascible Uranus, which is in Taurus and your expansive ninth house. You could overwhelm yourself by trying to pursue too many options at once—something Virgos do often. Practice a little self-discipline and don’t bite off more than you can chew.

FOMO alert to burnt-out Virgos: If you’re in desperate need of R&R, tempting options to socialize or even a travel invite could bring a sudden change of plans under the moon-Uranus square. Think twice before you say “yes” and make sure you have the energy for this. If you do head out, regulate your intake, whether of food, alcohol or exhausting people!

Virgo season begins on August 23—and you’re back! (Well, kinda)

On August 23, the Sun begins its monthlong visit to Virgo, waking you up and preparing you for action. Are you feeling inspired to start a passion project or a solo quest, ready to pursue your path again? It’s time to put your personal goals first and get back out there!

And with go-getter Mars in Virgo and your first house of appearances until August 27, you could be inspired to play with more head-turning looks, like a bolder hair color or staple pieces in Pantone-forecasted fall hues.

But…Mercury turns retrograde from August 23 to September 15

Hang on, though, Virgo! Before you relaunch your personal brand or make a big annouclass=”body-el-link standard-body-el-link” ncement, you might want to wait a couple weeks. Right as Virgo season begins on August 23, your ruling planet, Mercury, turns retrograde in Virgo, scrambling communication, technology and travel plans until September 15.

Your messaging could miss the mark, and you could come on too strong…or not strong enough. Choose your words and images with extra care. Mercury can muddle your online presence and interpersonal affairs. Even when you speak and post with precision, you could still be misunderstood. If this starts happening, slip out of the spotlight and do your work behind the scenes until mid-September. You’ll be more polished and prepared for your debut after all that practice. Just don’t lapse into Virgo perfectionism. At a certain point, you’re ready for showtime.

Review your relationships at the August 27 Sun-Saturn opposition

Relationship review day! On August 27, the annual Sun-Saturn opposition could find you stuck in a critical dance with someone you care about. With the Sun in Virgo challenging tough Saturn in your relationships zone, this heavy transit could give you a pessimistic or “glass half empty” outlook. Quick reminder: Like passing rainclouds, this is a one-day transit. Instead of getting down on yourself and others, use it to take an honest inventory of your interpersonal dynamics.

The Sun-Saturn stand-off could add insult to the injury of Mercury and Venus retrograde if you’re not careful. Before you dish out hardcore advice to anyone—or ask for a person’s “honest feedback” and get more than you bargained for—pause. Truth is, what we think we see in others is often a reflection of ourselves.

If people come to you with feedback or fail to live up to your expectations, don’t cut them off, but DO establish some ground rules for the conversation. If you’re both committed to compassion and kindness, this “hard conversation” could turn into a healing dialogue. Ask questions. Working through the conflict could actually strengthen your bond.

Uranus turns retrograde in your expansive ninth house on August 28

On August 28, Uranus, the planet of radical change, will begin a five-month retrograde through Taurus and your ninth house of travel, entrepreneurship and higher learning. The wide, uncharted spaces of pclass=”body-el-link standard-body-el-link” ossibility are your favorite playground—but for the remainder of the year, you might need to explore them at a more moderate pace.

For a little context: Disruptor Uranus is in Taurus for a long seven-year visit that will end in April 2026. The wider world is calling you, ready or not. Virgos are on an accelerated course of personal growth and expansion. It’s been exciting but may also have left you feeling untethered and nomadic.

While Uranus is retrograde until January 27, 2024, you’ll have a chance to get your bearings. You might even find some sense of home for a few months and set your metaphorical (or literal) bags down and stay for a while. A bit of nesting is always good for the Virgo soul. Allow yourself to enjoy that but keep a weekender bag packed and ready to be grabbed at a moment’s notice. You never know when the opportunity for a getaway could arise!

Since retrogrades rule the past, it’s likely that any such invitations will be to a place you know and love and have visited before. Go back, Virgo! You may experience a favorite setting in a completely different way. A publishing or educational project that got waylaid could be worth returning to. Ditto for a savvy business idea that’s been simmering on the back burner. You’ve got so many great but unfinished ideas, Virgo. This is one retrograde that you might truly enjoclass=”body-el-link standard-body-el-link” y!

The Pisces full supermoon on August 30 sweetens your relationships

Summer bonus moment! This August 30 features the month’s rare second full moon, aka a blue moon. This one, also a supermoon, lands in Pisces and your seventh house of partnerships.

A percolating alliance, whether professional or romantic, could reach official status. Or you might decide to go in a different direction if a commitment’s not working out as you’d hoped. These moonbeams sound the call for honest dialogue with the most important people in your orbit.

In business matters, this could be a decisive day for a contract signing or negotiation. But careful: Mercury is retrograde from August 23 until September 15. Prepare your most salient points so you’re ready to ink your name after the retrograde ends or you’ve done your due diligence! For couples, the enchanting influence of Pisces here could bring an engagement or a sweet day to renew your vows (do-overs like this are actually favored by Venus retrograde). One way or another, you’ll have a chance to deepen your connection and get back in sync, which may be sorely needed!

First, the good news: Passionate Mars is in Virgo all month (until August 27), a sizzling visit to your sign that happens every two years. You’ll be full of sexy swagger, feeling confident and enjoying your independence (but still loving how many people are taking notice of you).

Single? This is a perfect time to enjoy no-strings flirting and not be distracted by worries about “where’s this going?” Mars keeps you in the now, and for the moment, you’re quite content there! Couples could get into spats over minutiae—Virgo energy can get you hot and bothered about the smallest things! But if you choose to focus on each other’s wonderful qualities, you can redirect this intensity into the bedroom and beyond.

Now, for the not-as-good news: As you’ve probably heard, romantic Venus is retrograde until September 3, disrupting the harmony of relationships and potentially bringing exes and old drama back into our lives.

On top of that, Venus is retrograde in Leo and your twelfth house of illusions, healing and closure. Some really deep old wounds could be dredged up this month. And while it’s a powerful opportunity to put that pain to bed, that doesn’t make it any easier to take the medicine. On August 9, when Venus squares off with Uranus, you might blurt out something you wish you could take back. Careful how much truth serum you serve today, Virgo!

There’s a special window midmonth that will support your efforts to gain closure and perspective. From August 13 to 18, Venus is making its “inferior conjunction” with the Sun, meaning it will disappear from our view for a few days. This is THE window of opportunity to finally put old relationship patterns to bed. And if you do, the August 22 Venus-Jupiter square could bring a breakthrough moment of compassionate honesty or powerful perspective on a situation you’ve been struggling with.

You’re not done hashing things out just yet, though: On August 23, right as Virgo season begins, Mercury goes retrograde in Virgo until September 15. You may feel misunderstood at moments, and with impatient Mars in your sign, it will be hard to hide your frustration.

Luckily, a magical moment of togetherness arrives on August 30, when the Pisces full supermoon illuminates your seventh house of partnerships. It’s a great moment to come back together with someone you love and smooth over the Venus retrograde tension. Or, if it’s just not flowing anymore, you may decide to part ways at the full moon, hopefully with kindness and goodwill. Either way, this is a portal into the next chapter of your relationship life, no matter how you author it!

Put your personal projects front and center! You’re hosting lively Mars until August 27, which gets you extra fired-up about your personal goals. This badass biennial transit fills you with courage and charisma, so work those powers of persuasion to your advantage!

While you might feel a little dreamy and disconnected during Leo season, once the Sun enters Virgo on August 23, you’re back to your sharp and insightful ways. Well, kind of: Your ruling planet, Mercury, also turns retrograde today until September 15, which can cause breakdowns with communication and technology. Although you’re percolating with great ideas, develop them under wraps for now and save your big announcements for later in September.

An excellent day to include others in your big plans arrives at the August 30 Pisces full moon, which beams into your seventh house of partnerships. Team up with a complementary person or debut your novel ideas to a select few people—preferably ones who can support them in some concrete way. (Think: an angel investor for your socially-aware standup show or a coder for your killer app idea.)
