Victor Osimhen’s agent responds to rumours regarding his client’s future – Man United News And Transfer News

Napoli are flying high in the Serie A this season under experienced manager Luciano Spalletti.

The Parthenopeans slapped Juventus 5-1 on Saturday to stretch their lead at the top of Serie A to 9 points after second-placed AC Milan could only manage a 2-2 draw against lowly Lecce.

Victor Osimhen was instrumental in the demolition job against the side from Turin, scoring two goals and bagging an assist to help his side pile further pressure on Massimo Allegri’s men.

The Nigerian striker has been in imperious touch, with 12 goals in his 14 league appearances for Napoli this term, leading the race for the Capocannoniere award come the end of the season.

This dazzling run of form has attracted the attention of Europe’s elite clubs with Manchester United, Arsenal, Newcastle United and Tottenham all lining up for Osimhen’s signature.

The 24-year-old has a contract until 2025 at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, and Napoli will be aware that it will be difficult to hold on to one of the hottest properties in Europe beyond the summer.

Roberto Calenda, Victor Osimhen’s agent, has recently addressed the rumours surrounding his prized client, stating that the striker is very content with life in Naples at the moment.

“He is happy in Naples. He is fine, happy and perfectly integrated with the people. In the stadium he is the first to have fun, to dance with the fans,” Calenda said in statements carried by Fichajes.

“His goal is to win with this team and give a dream to a city he loves.”

Despite these reassurances, a price tag of a whopping €140 million has been bandied about for the Nigerian striker.

It could be significantly lowered with Napoli acutely aware that if a sale is not made this summer, they risk Osimhen’s price going down.

The team from Naples do not have the financial muscle to offer their star forward the kind of contract and wages he will now be offered from teams in England and thus the chances of him extending his stay in Italy are significantly lesser.

Wherever it may take him, the summer still promises to be an interesting one for Napoli’s enigmatic forward.
