Tori Kelly Gives Update on Her Health After “Scary” Hospitalization

The “Dear No One” artist also spoke about her recent musical release—an eponymous EP which came out the very same week in July that she was in the hospital.

“I had my music scheduled to come out that same week,” Tori remembered. “And I kind of had the option, ‘Okay, do I want to push it back even more?’ And I decided, ‘You know what I’m still going to put out this music, even though I can’t promote it the way that I usually would. I really want to still give my fans the opportunity to just listen to this music.’ Because this music is just so happy and fun, and I wanted them to be able to just have that.'”

At the time of her medical scare, the Sing actress released a statement that had a sweet message for her fans

“Until I see you again, I still want you to enjoy a project that represents the happy place I’ve been in the last few years,” Tori—who tied the knot with André Murillo in 2018—shared in a handwritten note on Instagram. “I love you all so much & I am truly overwhelmed by all of the love & care I have received. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”
