Tornike Shengelia fresh off receiving the MVP of the Month for October, showcased his dominance in the game against Anadolu Efes, propelling Virtus Bologna to its fifth consecutive win.

Guiding the black-and-white team to a 5-1 record at the start of this year’s EuroLeague, Virtus Bologna’s number 21 contributed 19 points – 5/9 from two and 9/11 at the line – along with 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and drawing 12 fouls.

Shengelia’s stellar performance resulted in a Player Impact Rating (PIR) of 30, earning him the EuroLeague Regular Season Round 6 MVP title.

Following the remarkable triumph against Anadolu Efes, Shengelia remained humble in his response. When prompted by the interviewer, he modestly said, “If we continue to play like this,” emphasizing the collective effort of the team rather than personal achievement.

“I feel like the whole team should be standing here with me. We did an amazing job defensively and offensively throughout our mistakes, we kept playing consistently. This is what we do: our main goal was to protect the home court tonight.”
