Teen Mom’s Maci Wants to “Let Go” of Anger Towards Ex Ryan

Ever since appearing on 16 and Pregnant in 2009, Maci Bookout McKinney has documented her complicated relationship with ex Ryan Edwards. Now, as the pair struggles to co-parent their 14-year-old son Bentley, Maci is hoping to make a change.
“I want to let go of the anger I have towards Ryan,” Maci told life coach Dr. Cheyenne Bryant on the Jan. 31 episode of Teen Mom: Family Reunion. “But I don’t feel like I’m angry for myself. I feel like I’m angry for Bentley so I’m not sure I can bury that.”
As Maci looked back on the times Bentley had “wanted to throw in the towel” and give up on his relationship with his father, she expressed feelings of guilt for not picking a better partner.
“I feel like because of my choice in relationships, it just hurts everybody,” Maci said through tears. “Everybody that loves me hurts because of it.”
