A 120Hz refresh rate display, and 4,300mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging are the major highlights of the new phone.

Known tipster Paras Guglani via Twitter has suggested that Xiaomi will be discontinuing the Mi 11 Lite soon. According to the tipster, the handset will be removed from all platforms post the India launch of the Xiaomi 12 Lite. However, the company is said to keep the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE model in the market. Xiaomi has not officially revealed any details about the discontinuation of Mi 11 Lite and the handset is currently listed on the company website, so this information should be taken with a pinch of salt.

The Mi 11 Lite was launched in India with a starting price tag of Rs. 21,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The smartphone also comes in an 8GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration that is priced at Rs. 23,999. It features a 6.55-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 60Hz as well as 90Hz refresh rate options. The handset packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G SoC, along with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Mi 11 Lite has a 64-megapixel triple rear camera setup and it flaunts a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor. It packs a 4,250mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

Xiaomi has been teasing the launch of the smartphone for a couple of weeks now. The phone gets four colour options and houses a 4,300mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. The handset has a sleek 7.29mm thin design and weighs just 173g. Pre-orders for the phone will start today via Xiaomi’s authorised online channels.

The Xiaomi 12 Lite comes in three storage options —6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, which is priced at $399 (roughly Rs. 31,600), 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model, which carries a price tag of $449 (roughly Rs. 35,600), and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option, which has a price tag of $499 (roughly Rs. 39,600).

The handset has been launched in three colour variants —Black, Lite Green, and Lite Pink. Pre-orders for the handset has started today and the Xiaomi 12 Lite can be purchased via Xiaomi’s authorised online channels.

The smartphone sports a 6.55-inch AMOLED full-HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 20:9, has 2,400 x 1,080 pixel resolution, and a peak brightness of 950nits. The handset features both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support and comes with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz.

For optics, the Xiaomi 12 Lite houses a triple rear camera setup with a 108-megapixel main camera featuring Samsung HM2 sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. To recall, the global launch of the handset was teased by Xiaomi earlier this week. The launch date of the smartphone has not been announced yet.

Xiaomi also started accepting pre-reservations for the 12 Lite in Azerbaijan earlier this month. It was reportedly priced at AZM 999 (roughly Rs. 46,500) for the 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage variant.

The Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G listing was recently spotted on the Orange Espana site. The Xiaomi handset’s variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage has been tipped to carry a price tag of EUR 506 (roughly Rs. 41,000). The listing only includes the Black colour model.
