Vivo X100s Specifications, Colour Options Leak; Said to Run on MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Chip

Tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) on Weibo claimed that the Vivo X100s will be offered in black, cyan, white and titanium colour options. It is said to run on a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC like its siblings — the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro.

The Vivo X100s is tipped to sport a flat screen with 1.5K resolution and narrow bezels. It could get a flat metal frame and glass on both the front and rear.

The handset is expected to come with upgrades over last year’s Vivo X90s. The latter was launched in China in June last year with a price tag of CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 45,300) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.

The Vivo X90s features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,260×2,800 pixels) AMOLED display. It runs on an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of inbuilt storage. It has a triple rear camera setup, led by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX663 primary sensor. On the front, it has a 32-megapixel sensor. It houses a 5,000mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging support.

The Vivo X100 Pro and Vivo X100 were launched in January in India with a starting price tag of Rs. 89,999 and Rs. 63,999, respectively. They are powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 SoC and have triple rear cameras. They have curved 6.78-inch 8 LTPO AMOLED displays with up to 120Hz refresh rate.

Sharing a glimpse of the upcoming smartphone’s design, it was confirmed that the smartphone will at least get a white colour variant. The rear panel also sports Zeiss branded triple rear cameras along with an LED flash.

Meanwhile, in another Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station, it was hinted that the Vivo X90s will launch in China with LPDD5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The top-end variant of the phone will get 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The tipster also suggested that the handset will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC.

A previous report said that the Vivo X90s could offer Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. It is expected to release in five colour options — Black, Blue, Green, Red, and White.

The Vivo X90s’ specifications were also teased in a TENAA listing earlier, hinting that the smartphone will sport a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 2,800 x 1,280 pixels. The listing suggested the Vivo X90S to release with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of inbuilt storage.

Vivo X90s Officially Teased, Tipped to Run on New MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC

Vivo X90s has been teased by Jia Jingdong, Vivo’s Vice President and General Manager of Product Strategy via Weibo on Thursday. The new smartphone has a design similar to its Vivo X90 series siblings — Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro. The Vivo X90s is shown to have a Zeiss-tuned triple rear camera unit. The triple rear camera setup of the handset could include a 50-megapixel main camera sensor, accompanied by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 12-megapixel portrait sensor. It is said to pack a 32-megapixel selfie camera as well. Vivo is expected to provide a 4,690mAh battery on the Vivo X90s.

Vivo X90S Appears on Google Play Console Listing, Reveals New MediaTek Processor: Report

Vivo X90 and X90 Pro have just gone on sale in India, but the Chinese smartphone brand already seems to be preparing a successor to the Vivo X90. The device is called the Vivo X90S and has appeared on the Google Play Console, giving some out key specifications in the process. While there’s no official word from Vivo on the same, it’s easy to conclude that this device is the upgrade to the existing Vivo X90, thanks to its new processor.

First reported by MySmartPrice, the device with the model no V2241A has been listed on the Google Play Console. The Vivo X90S, as per the data from the listing, is powered by MediaTek MT6985 which basically hints at the availablity of Dimensity 9200 SoC on the upcoming smartphone. The device listed also has 12GB of RAM and has a FHD+ display. In terms of software, it runs Android 13.

Also revealed in the Google Play Console listing is the phone’s design, which sure appears similar to the outgoing Vivo X90. It has a curved edge display and hole-punch camera at the top. The software in the picture appears to be running Vivo’s OriginOS.

According to a past leak by tipster Digital Chat Station on Chinese microblogging website Weibo, the processor listed could be the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC. Meanwhile, according to a report by GSMArena, this could be a slightly tweaked version of the existing processor with a higher clock speed. The new processor by MediaTek is said to be unveiled on May 10. What remains to be seen is where this new smartphone fits in, because the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC is expected to be superior to the Dimensity 9200 SoC available in the Vivo. X90 series launched in India.

Vivo only recently launched its X90 and X90 Pro handsets in India. Both of these devices are also powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC, but have slightly different designs and cameras. The Vivo X90 is priced at Rs. 59,999 for the base 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while the X90 Pro is available at Rs. 84,999 for the sole 12GB RAM and 256GB storage option.
