Red Magic 9 Pro pricing starts at CNY 4,399 (roughly Rs. 51,700) for the 8GB+256GB RAM and storage configuration while the 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB variants are priced at CNY 4,799 (roughly Rs. 57,000) and CNY 5,199, (roughly Rs. 61,100) respectively.

On the other hand, pricing for the Red Magic 9 Pro+ begins at CNY 5,499 (roughly Rs. 64,600) for the 16GB+256GB RAM and storage model. The phone will also be available in a 16GB+512GB variant priced at CNY 5,799 (roughly Rs. 68,900) and a top-of-the-line 24GB+1TB model that costs CNY 6,999 (roughly Rs. 83,100).

Red Magic 9 Pro, Red Magic 9 Pro+ specifications

Both the Red Magic 9 Pro series models are dual-SIM (Nano) smartphones that run on Red Magic OS 9.0 based on Android 14 out-of-the-box. The handsets sport a 6.8-inch full-HD+ (1,116×2,480 pixels) BOE Q9+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits.

The handsets are powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, paired with the dedicated Red Core R2 gaming chip. It is equipped with up to 24TB of LPDDR5x RAM. The company says that the phone is equipped with a 10,182 square millimetre vapour chamber and a new alloy fan with a waterfall air duct and this setup is claimed to reduce the temperature of the handset by up to 25 degrees Celsius, when combined with the firm’s proprietary CUBE engine.

On the rear panel, the Red Magic 9 Pro series is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary camera with a Samsung GN5 sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera with a Samsung JN1 sensor. The handsets also feature a 16-megapixel under-display camera for selfies and video chats.

You get up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage on the Red Magic 9 Pro and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage on the Red Magic 9 Pro+. Connectivity options on the handsets include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, GPS, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB 3.2 Type-C port. The Red Magic 9 Pro packs a 6,500mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging, while the Red Magic 9 Pro+ is equipped with a 5,500mAh battery with 165W fast charging support. It has an under-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.

So far, all details about the Red Magic 9 Pro have officially been shared via Weibo, the Chinese microblogging site. The teaser on X suggests that one — or both — of the Red Magic 9 Pro models will see a global launch soon.

In China, the Red Magic 9 Pro models are set to launch in Dark Night Knight, Deuterium Front Transparent Dark Night, and Deuterium Front Transparent Silver Wing (translated from Chinese) colour options with hidden under-display front cameras and a notch-less design on November 23 at 2pm local time (11.30am IST).

The base Red Magic 9 Pro has been confirmed to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of inbuilt storage. It will run Android 14-based Red Magic OS 9.0 out-of-the-box. The phone is said to carry BOE Q9+ panels to ensure a better display performance than preceding models.

The Red Magic 9 Pro models will also be equipped with Nubia’s self-developed Red Core R2 Pro gaming chips that claim to improve the gaming experience for users by extending the customisation options. It is said to support 165W wired “magic flash charging”, which claims to charge the handsets from zero to 100 in just 16 minutes.

Red Magic 9 Pro AnTuTu Score Revealed; Key Specifications Officially Teased Ahead of November 23 Launch

Red Magic 9 Pro series is set to launch on November 23 in China. It is said to succeed the Red Magic 8 Pro lineup, which was unveiled in January this year. AnTuTu, on Weibo, shared that the base Red Magic 9 Pro with the model number NX769J has an AnTuTu score of 2,290,773. The CPU score is 516,397, while the GPU and MEM scores are 904,492 and 457,734, respectively. The phone also has a UX score of 412,150, according to the benchmarking site. The phone runs Android 14 out-of-the-box and is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of inbuilt storage, the post confirms.

Nubia, on the other hand, confirmed that Red Magic 9 Pro will feature BOE Q9+ panels with touch sampling rate of 2000Hz, PWM dimming rate of 2,160Hz, and local peak brightness level of 1,600 nits. This is a significant improvement over the BOE Q9 display used in Red Magic 8 Pro models, as per the company. The upcoming phone screens claim to bring improved colour deviation, low-light display effects, better brightness performance, and minimal screen smear issues.

The company also confirmed that the Red Magic 9 Pro phones will ship with Android 14-based Redmagic OS 9.0, which will come with “20 new functions” and will run 30 percent more smoothly than the present OS. The Red Magic 9 Pro series will also get an upgraded console in the X Gravity Platform 2.0 with a new one-click handheld mode and a super classic mode.

The phones will be equipped with Nubia’s self-developed Red Core R2 Pro gaming chips that are said to offer touch, vibration, sound effects, and lighting effects customisation. In a Weibo post, Nubia confirmed that the Red Magic 9 Pro series will launch on November 23 in China at 2pm Beijing time (11:30am IST). The phone has also been spotted on Geekbench with the model number NX769J. It is tipped to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, 12GB of RAM, and run on Android 14-based RedMagic OS.

In another Weibo post, Nubia President Ni Fei stated that the Red Magic 9 Pro series will have “great surprises” in store in multiple aspects, including design, performance, battery life, and screen. Meanwhile, a Mydrivers report says that the phones are likely to come with hidden under-display front cameras and therefore, notchless displays.

The report also adds that the Red Magic 9 Pro series will come with a new ICE magic cooling system, which is claimed to be the industry’s first 3D ice-level VC heat dissipation system. It is expected to significantly improve heat loss efficiency over the usual single-chip VC and dual-chip VC systems.

Notably, the Red Magic 8 Pro came with Nubia’s ICE 11 system, that had a restyled 20,000 RPM fan to increase airflow. The phone was also equipped with the Cube Performance Optimiser that claimed to offer stable frame rates and low power usage.
