Realme has revealed the camera specifications of the Realme 12 Pro 5G series via multiple teasers on X. The lineup is confirmed to include a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope lens with 120x Super Zoom support. This sensor will have a 1/2-inch size. Realme claims the sensor is 27.62 percent bigger than the 1/2.52 image sensor used by other flagships.

The Realme 12 Pro 5G series is teased to feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 with OIS. The regular Realme 12 Pro is likely to boast a 200-megapixel camera unit seen in last year’s Realme 11 Pro+. The company has also shared camera samples of the upcoming phones on the landing page of its India website showcasing their camera capabilities. Further, the handsets are confirmed to come in blue and cream colour options. The cream colour variant is quite identical to the Sunrise Beige version of the Realme 11 Pro+ 5G.

The listing suggested 12GB of RAM, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, and Android 14 operating system in the handset. The regular Realme 12 Pro is said to run on Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC. Both models are expected to house 5,000mAh batteries with 67W wired fast charging support. They could sport 6.7-inch curved-edge full-HD+ AMOLED panels with 120Hz refresh rate. The Realme 12 Pro and the Realme 12 Pro+ could be joined by a third Realme 12 Pro Max model.

Realme 12 Pro 5G Series Could Get a Third Model in India; Said to Be Realme 12 Pro Max 5G

Realme 12 Pro 5G series is confirmed to launch in India on January 29. The series was previously expected to come with a Realme 12 Pro and a Realme 12 Pro+ model. However, new leaks have surfaced online suggesting that the lineup may include another model. Some key specifications of this third model, which will likely be top-of-the-line, have also been leaked. The price of this model has also been tipped.

Tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) shared images of marketing materials that suggest that the upcoming Realme 12 Pro 5G series will include a Realme 12 Pro Max 5G model. It is shown to be offered in 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB configurations, which is tipped to be priced at Rs. 33,999 and Rs. 35,999, respectively. The moniker suggests that this will be the top-of-the-end model. Therefore, it may be safe to assume that the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+ models could have lower prices.

Realme 12 Pro Max 5G is tipped to feature a 120Hz Curved Vision display and like the other two models in the lineup, carry a luxury watch-inspired design. The rear camera system of the phone is said to include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support and a 64-megapixel OIS-supported periscope portrait camera. The handset will ship with Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0, according to the leaked image.

Previous leaks have suggested that the base Realme 12 Pro model could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, while the Pro+ model may get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. The vanilla model has been tipped to be offered in 12GB + 256GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB configurations, while the Realme 12 Pro+ is expected to arrive with 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB options.

The company has so far only confirmed a Submarine Blue colour option for the series, and the presence of a periscope telephoto camera. The Realme 12 Pro is tipped to also be available in a Navigator Beige shade, and the higher-end Realme 12 Pro+ is expected to come with an additional Explorer Red colourway. Both these models are expected to have 5,000mAh batteries with 67W wired fast charging support. They are also likely to have 6.7-inch curved-edge full-HD+ AMOLED screens with 120Hz refresh rate and boot Realme UI 5 out-of-the-box.

Realme 12 Pro 5G Series With a Periscope Camera India Launch Date Confirmed

Realme 12 Pro 5G series will be unveiled in India later this month. The lineup will likely include the Realme 12 Pro and a Realme 12 Pro+ models. The design of one of the handsets and a colourway has been officially revealed. Several key details of the phones have also leaked recently. Now, Realme has confirmed the launch date of the Realme 12 Pro 5G series in India.

The company has confirmed in a press statement that the Realme 12 Pro 5G series will be launched in India on January 29 at 12pm IST. One of the handsets in the lineup is also confirmed to feature a periscope telephoto camera, likely the Pro+ variant. A recently revealed design shows one of the phones with a circular camera module with a golden dial placed centrally towards the top of the back panel. It is confirmed to come in a Submarine Blue colour option.

An earlier leak suggested that the Realme 12 Pro model could come in Navigator Beige and Submarine Blue colour options and RAM and storage configurations of 12GB + 256GB, 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. Realme 12 Pro 5G series is confirmed to launch in India later this month. Meanwhile, leaked images have also hinted that the phone’s design is inspired by Rolex luxury watches.

In a series of posts on X, Realme teased its collaboration with luxury watch maker Ollivier Saveo. The Realme 12 Pro series will integrate the design elements of a luxury watch brand. A leaked image of the aforementioned collaboration showed a Realme 12 Pro model in a blue colour option reminiscent of the popular blue dial of a Rolex Watch.

Realme has also officially revealed the design of a Realme 12 Pro model. It appears in a Submarine Blue colour option. The back panel sports a centred circular camera module surrounded by a golden dial. A golden line also passes vertically through the middle of the rear panel. The power button and volume rocker on the right edge of the handset are also seen in a golden colour.

In another X post, Realme confirmed that the Realme 12 Pro series will feature a Sony IMX890 primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support and 24mm focal length. It will carry an OV64B sensor with a periscope shooter which will support up to 120x digital zoom. The camera system is also set to get a 3x Portrait Mode with a 71mm focal length.

The base Realme 12 Pro has previously been tipped to be powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC. The phones are expected to be equipped with 50-megapixel triple rear camera units and carry 5,000mAh batteries each. The Realme 12 Pro+ is likely to come with a 64-megapixel Omnivision OV64B sensor with a 3x periscope telephoto lens.

The landing page of the upcoming Realme 12 Pro series on the official website teases the January launch of the lineup. It does not confirm a date but tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore (@Sudhanshu1414) suggested that the phones may debut in India on January 31 at 12pm IST. He added that the Realme 12 Pro model is expected to be offered in Navigator Beige and Submarine Blue colourways, while the Realme 12 Pro+ could come in an additional Explorer Red shade. Both models are expected to launch in configurations of 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB and the base model is also tipped to be offered in a 12GB + 256GB option.
