If customers opt for an exchange option, the prices can be lowered further.

The Motorola Razr 40 is offered in a lone 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant and is available in Sage Green, Summer Lilac, and Vanilla Cream colourways. Meanwhile, with similar storage details, the Ultra model comes in Infinite Black and Viva Magenta colour options.

Motorola launched its much-awaited Motorola Razr 40 Ultra and Razr 40 foldable flip phones in China yesterday (June 1). Now, the clamshell smartphones from the Lenovo-owned brand are gearing up for their arrival in India. Motorola shared a teaser on social media to offer clear hints about the launch of the Motorola Razr 40 series in the country. The teaser is shown with the hashtag “FlipTheScript.” However, Motorola has not revealed the moniker of the smartphones and their exact launch date. The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, while the Motorola Razr 40 runs on a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC.

Motorola on Friday took to Twitter to announce the launch of the Motorola Razr 40 series in India. The company, however, didn’t mention the exact launch date and product names. Motorola has also created a dedicated landing page on its website to tease the arrival of foldable smartphones. It is shown with a ‘coming soon’ tag. Interested people can register their contact details with Motorola to stay updated with the developments regarding the launch and availability of foldable phones.

This outer screen will display notifications, and weather status among others. Like the predecessor, Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is also powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, paired with Adreno730 GPU and up to 12GB of RAM. It has X-axis linear motor for gaming.

For photos and videos, Motorola Razr 40 Ultra carries a dual rear camera setup, led by a 12-megapixel main sensor with support for optical image stabilisation (OIS). It is accompanied by a 13-megapixel secondary ultra-wide-angle sensor. At the front, it has a 32-megapixel shooter for selfies and video chats.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is available in two storage variants with up to 512GB inbuilt storage. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors on board include an ambient light sensor, e-compass, gravity sensor, gyro sensor, and proximity sensor. The phone also includes a fingerprint sensor for authentication. It supports the face unlock feature as well. It has a water-resistant IP52 build.

Motorola Razr 40 is tipped to launch on June 1 alongside the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra. Ahead of its debut, the Razr series smartphone has been spotted on the benchmarking platform Geekbench and China’s Compulsory Certification (3C) website, giving us a look at some of its key specifications. The Geekbench listing points to a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC and 12GB of RAM. The Motorola Razr 40 is expected to run on Android 13 out-of-the-box. The listing on 3C site indicates the handset will support 5G connectivity and for 33W wired charging.

A Motorola smartphone has been listed (via Twitter user @ZionsAnvin) on the Geekbench website with model number XT2323-3. The listing, believed to be the Motorola Razr 40, shows that it has received 1,019 points in single-core tests and 2,545 points in multi-core tests. The phone is listed to feature 11.09GB of RAM and run on Android 13.

As per the listing, an octa-core chipset will power the Motorola Razr 40. It shows two CPU cores with a maximum clock speed of 2.40GHz, six cores capped at 2.36GHz and four cores capped at 1.80GHz. These CPU clock speeds suggest the presence of a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC on the Motorola Razr 40.

Separately, the Motorola Razr 40 with the same model number (XT2323-3) has appeared on China’s  3C site. The listing suggests 5G connectivity and support for 33W fast charging. Gadgets360 was able to independently verify both listings for the handset.

Motorola Razr 40 is expected to be launched on June 1 alongside Motorola Razr 40 Ultra. The latter is said to make its debut with an initial price tag of SAR 3,999 (roughly Rs. 88,400).

It could be powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage. It is expected to pack two 13-megapixel sensors at the back.
