Lady Gaga shares new look at her Harley Quinn haircut for ‘Joker’

She’s showing off her “Joker” face.

Lady Gaga shared the first close-up look at her cropped Harley Quinn hair on Instagram Wednesday as she finishes up filming the DC Comics flick, “Joker: Folie à Deux” — and fans are going wild for her creepy transformation.

“That’s a wrap,” the “Bad Romance” singer, 37, captioned the photo, adding flaming heart, director’s clapboard and Joker card emojis. “X, Harleen.”

In the picture, Gaga wears her normally long blond hair in a choppy chin-length bob, sporting bangs with the piece-y style as she stares at the camera.

Her heavy black eyeliner is smeared under her eyes and she wears smudged red lipstick around her mouth in the promotional image.

The “Poker Face” singer sports the character’s signature harlequin style, rocking an embroidered black jacket over a black-and-white top with tulle ruffles at the neckline.

Marc Jacobs was loving the villain vibes, writing, “You look amazing. Can’t wait to see the movie” and adding a red heart emoji.

“That’s an OSCAR face,” one fan wrote on the Instagram post, while another of her Little Monsters said, “u already ate and the movie isn’t out yet” and a third wrote that they will be “Seated with my popcorn and clown makeup.”

Someone on Twitter added, “CONGRATS MOTHER! THAT HAIR & MAKEUP & SINGING AND DANCING ON THE STAIRS , I KNOW THIS IS GOING TO BE A GAGA THEATRICAL MASTERPIECE.”

Gaga also changed her hair up when she starred in “House of Gucci,” wearing a brunette wig for the role.

However, not everyone was a fan of Gaga’s big screen transformation.

“why does Lady Gaga Harley Quinn look so boring,” a Twitter user wondered. “Joker gets a full face of colorful pain. Gaga has really nothing. i hope maybe at the end shes in full makeup? or maybe at least dyed hair or something. i dunno just my hot take. she just looks like a normal lady.”

Previously, Lady Gaga was seen with slicked-back hair and dark roots as she filmed a scene for the movie at the New York County Supreme Court.

The “Born this Way” singer took over the role of Harley Quinn from Margot Robbie, who played the villain in “The Suicide Squad” and “Birds of Prey,” and fans can expect a new take on the iconic comic character.

Gaga’s portrayal of the DC fave will include a musical twist, with the Grammy winner belting out songs as she plays alongside Joaquin Phoenix as the titular character, Arthur Fleck.

Sadly, fans looking forward to Gaga’s Harley Quinn will have to wait a bit longer, as “Joker: Folie à Deux” is slated for an October 4, 2024 release — just in time to recreate her spooky look for Halloween.

Maverick’ song at the Oscars

Lady Gaga will perform her Oscar-nominated song at the awards show after all.

Just a few days after Oscars producer Glenn Weiss said that Gaga will not be performing at the ceremony, a source close to production confirmed to The Associated Press that she will actually be singing “Hold My Hand” from “Top Gun: Maverick.”

The addition of Gaga means all of this year’s nominees for Best Original Song will be performing at the Academy Awards.

Other nominees who will perform this year include Rihanna (“Lift Me Up”), Sofia Carson and Diane Warren (“Applause”), Stephanie Hsu, David Byrne and Son Lux (“This Is a Life”) and Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava (“Naatu Naatu”).

It was reported earlier that the “Poker Face” singer had to turn down the offer to perform due to scheduling conflicts, Weiss confirmed Wednesday during the Oscars Creative Team press conference.

“We invited all five nominees. We have a great relationship with Lady Gaga and her camp. She is in the middle of shooting a movie right now. Here, we are honoring the movie industry and what it takes to make a movie after a bunch of back and forth … It didn’t feel like she can get a performance to the caliber that we’re used to with her and that she is used to,” Weiss said.

“So she is not going to perform on the show, however, this is all, from our point of view, about someone making a movie and us completely understanding that that’s what is priority in this business, especially when we are honoring movies,” Weiss continued.

Gaga is currently in the process of filming the upcoming “Joker” musical sequel “Joker: Folie à Deux” with Joaquin Phoenix, where she will play Harley Quinn.

Gaga is the first artist to receive three nominations in the Best Original Song category with “Holy My Hand” from “Top Gun: Maverick,” “Til It Happens to You” from “The Hunting Ground” in 2016, and “Shallow” from “A Star Is Born” in 2019.
