‘After Ever Happy’ Is Coming to Netflix on Christmas

It’s a Christmas miracle! After hitting theaters in early September, the fourth film in the After franchise, After Ever Happyfinally has a Netflix release date. And what better way to spend the holidays than to obsess over Tessa (Josephine Langford) and Hardin’s (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) star-crossed relationship?

The movie, which is set to premiere on the streaming platform on Dec. 25, picks up where After We Fell left off: Hardin just found out that his biological father is actually a close family friend who also happens to be his girlfriend’s boss. Messy!

While Hardin lashes out after hearing the news, Tessa has her own drama, and must cope with a loss in her life, leading them to separate for the majority of the film.

What happens next is a question only the movie (and the upcoming fifth installment) can answer — since, of course, Tiffin teased the next chapter, which will be called After Everything, in a video posted to Twitter last summer.

In the meantime, you can catch up with all the toxicity in the first three movies — After, After We Collidedand After We Fell — which are currently streaming on Netflix.

And if you find some time between opening gifts and spending time with family, After Ever Happy will be available in your Netflix queue to fill you in on the next part of the saga on Christmas Day.

After Ever Happy, The Invitation, Carmen + More

From gothic horror to sadistic romance, this week’s new movies on VOD have it all. Nathalie Emmanuel stars in the horror film The Invitation, which was released theatrically this summer, but now that the film is on VOD, we’re treated to the unrated version, so get your ponchos ready, there’s gonna be a bloodbath. In After Ever Happy, whether you love them or love to hate them, Tessa and Hardin are back for more break up sex and make up sex.

And in Carmen, which is based on a true story, Natascha McElhone stars as a Maltese woman who has spent her entire life serving as the housekeeper to her brother, a priest. When her brother dies, she realizes that she can now live the life she truly wants to live, free from servitude and from the church.

These are just a few of the titles that are available to watch on Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, YouTube, and through your cable service this week. Check out what movies are available to buy or rent on demand now!

The sexy, toxic couple at the heart of the After movies is back! Tessa (Josephine Langford) and Hardin (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) have spent three previous movies meeting, falling in love, having sex, and breaking up, and in the fourth installment of the series based on Anna Todd’s books, they’re at it again. The films are notable mostly for the sex, and this one is no different. And while yeah, once again the pair finds themselves on the outs (again) in this film, don’t worry, it’s not the final film in the franchise, that would be the yet-to-be-released After Everything, premiere date TBD.

Where to stream After Ever Happy

In The Invitation, Nathalie Emmanuel plays Evie, a woman whose mother has died, leaving her with no other family that she knows of. That is, until a mysterious cousin played by Hugh Skinner, reveals himself, and not only that, he invites her to a lavish English wedding where he promises that she’ll meet more of her family. It turns out, the family is full of dark secrets and Evie is not just any invited guest to the affair. Among the many things she discovers on the course of her trip is that her family harbors some horrific proclivities, and, oh yeah, turns out that she’s the guest of honor.
