Jio True 5G Service Launches in Haridwar, Now Available in 226 Cities

Reliance Jio on Saturday launched its True 5G services in Haridwar from Har Ki Pauri, taking the total number of Jio True 5G cities to 226 across the country. 

The telecom company said starting today, Jio users in Haridwar would be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer to experience unlimited data at up to 1 Gbps+ speeds, at no additional cost.

Haridwar becomes the second city in the state after the capital city Dehradun to get Jio True 5G services, according to a company statement.

Jio True 5G is rolling out at a rapid pace and is the only 5G service to be present in Haridwar empowering Jio users with transformational benefits of True 5G technology, the company said.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “It is a matter of great pleasure that 5G (fifth-generation mobile system) services by Jio network, which started from Dehradun city of Uttarakhand, has been extended and launched in Haridwar today. With the beginning of this service, not only the people of Haridwar, but also the pilgrims visiting the holy city of Haridwar from the country and abroad, including the pilgrims visiting for Char Dham yatra in the near future will benefit.”

According to the statement, the company has a robust network coverage across the state, right from the state capital, Dehradun to Mana, the last Indian village in Uttarakhand towards the Indo-Tibet border. It said Jio is the only operator in the state, which is present in all the Char Dhams, on the trek route of Shri Kedarnath Dham and at Shri Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara, situated at an altitude of 13,650 mt.

The chief minister also added, “The launch of 5G services by Jio network ahead of the commencement of Chardham Yatra is commendable. I hope Jio’s 5G network will soon be available in all the main towns of Uttarakhand. This will be a true representation of the state as a Digital Devbhoomi in the upcoming G20 Summit events scheduled in Rishikesh. On this occasion, I congratulate the people of Haridwar, and the representatives associated with Jio Network in Uttarakhand.”

Jio spokesperson said “We are excited to commence Jio True 5G in Haridwar. We are grateful to the Honorable Chief Minister, Shri. Dhami ji and the state government for their continuous support in our quest to digitise Uttarakhand. Jio Launches 5G Services in Seven Northeast Cities, Network Now Live in 191 Cities in India

Reliance Jio on Friday announced the launch of the 5G services across six states of the Northeast circle by connecting seven cities, namely, Shillong, Imphal, Aizawl, Agartala, Itanagar, Kohima and Dimapur with its True 5G network.

True 5G is now live in 191 cities across the country, it said.

“By December 2023, Jio True 5G services will be made available in every town and taluka of the Northeastern states,” the company said in a statement shared with exchanges on Friday.

Starting tomorrow, the company said Jio users in seven cities across six states of Arunachal Pradesh (Itanagar), Manipur (Imphal), Meghalaya (Shillong), Mizoram (Aizawl), Nagaland (Kohima and Dimapur), and Tripura (Agartala) would be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer, by which they can experience unlimited data at up to 1 Gbps speeds, at no additional cost.

Amongst the numerous benefits of True 5G, healthcare has the potential to save lives in difficult times even in the remotest far-flung areas with its reliable wireless network, Jio said.

The company said in a statement that revolutionary solutions such as Jio Community Clinic medical kit, augmented reality-virtual reality (AR-VR)-based healthcare solutions can enhance quality healthcare in urban India and assist in spreading quality healthcare infrastructure to the remotest areas of the country.

A Jio spokesperson said, “Jio is proud to announce the launch of True 5G services in all the six states of Northeast Circle from today. This advanced technology will bring significant benefits to the people of the Northeast, particularly in the field of healthcare with its reliable wireless network.”

Additionally, the network would enhance various sectors such as agriculture, education, e-governance, IT, SME, automation, artificial intelligence, gaming, and many more, the spokesperson added.

The spokesperson said Jio True 5G has already reached 191 cities in less than four months of its beta launch.

Jio 5G Network Services Launched in 50 More Cities as Rollout Expands to 184 Cities in India

Reliance Jio on Tuesday announced the largest launch of its True 5G services across 50 cities in the country. With this, Jio users across 184 cities are now enjoying the fifth-generation mobile services. According to the company’s statement, these 50 cities are in states including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Odisha, Puducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu.

Jio users in these cities will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer to experience unlimited data at up to 1Gbps speeds at no additional cost, starting on Tuesday, the statement said.

Jio spokesperson said, “We are thrilled to launch Jio True 5G services in 50 additional cities across 17 states and Union Territories, taking the total count to 184 cities. This is by far one of the largest rollouts of 5G services, not just in India, but anywhere in the world.”

“We have stepped up the speed and intensity of True 5G roll-out across the nation because we want every Jio user to enjoy the transformational benefits of Jio True 5G technology in the new year 2023. The entire nation will be able to enjoy and benefit from Jio True 5G services by December 2023,” the spokesperson said.

The cities of Chittoor, Kadapa, Narasaraopet, Ongole, Rajamahendravaram, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh; Nagaon in Assam; Bilaspur, Korba and Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh; Panaji in Goa; Ambala, Bahadurgarh, Hisar, Karnal, Panipat, Rohtak, Sirsa and Sonipat in Haryana, have access to Jio 5G services now, according to the statement. It also added that Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij inaugurated Jio True 5G in Haryana circle on Tuesday.

Jio 5G services are now also live in Dhanbad in Jharkhand; Bagalkote, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Mandya and Tumakuru in Karnataka; Alappuzha in Kerala; Kolhapur, Nanded-Waghala, Sangli in Maharashtra; Balasore, Baripada, Bhadrak, Jharsuguda, Puri and Sambalpur in Odisha, the statement said.

The cities in Puducherry; Amritsar, Bikaner, Kota in Rajasthan; Dharmapuri, Erode and Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu; Nalgonda in Telangana, and Jhansi, Aligarh, Moradabad, Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh, and Asansol and Durgapur in West Bengal now have access to Jio 5G services. According to the statement, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will inaugurate Jio True 5G in Kota.

The spokesperson also said, “We are grateful to the State Governments of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Puducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal for their continuous support in our quest to digitise every region.”

Jio True 5G Services Launched in Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ludhiana, Siliguri

Reliance Jio has launched 5G services in Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ludhiana and Siliguri, taking the total number of cities to 72. Jio has announced plans to launch its “True 5G” services in every town, taluk of India by the end of December 2023.

“The launch strengthens Jio True 5G coverage in Madhya Pradesh, close to unveiling of coveted events like Pravasi Bharatiya Divas and Invest MP – Global Investor Summit at Indore. With the launch, Reliance Jio has now become the first and the only operator in MP to launch 5G services across all prominent large cities of MP, including the capital city, Bhopal, and Indore,” the company said in a statement.

It is the first and the only operator to launch 5G services in Gwalior, Jabalpur and Ludhiana.

At present, Jio is offering unlimited access to 5G data to select customers in the city where it has rolled out its 5G services.

“The Jio True 5G launch reaffirms Jio’s commitment and provides advanced technology support for the upcoming 17th edition of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas and Invest MP — Global Investor Summit being held in Indore in January 2023,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, the telecom company rolled out its 5G services in Odisha — starting with Bhubaneswar and Cuttack — in presence of Union Minister of Communications Ashwini Vaishnaw and Union Minister of Education, and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan. “The temple city Bhubaneswar and silver city Cuttack will be the first cities to get Jio True 5G services starting today,” Reliance Jio said in a release. The launch came at a time when the city gears up to host FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup later this month.

Jio True 5G Launched in Indore, Bhopal; Other Cities to Get 5G Update in January 2023

Reliance Jio on Thursday announced the launch of its 5G services in Indore and Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh.

With the launch, Reliance Jio has become the first and the only operator in the state to launch 5G services in these cities.

The 5G launch in these two cities is in line with the announcement made by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at Shri Mahakaal Mahalok Ujjain on December 14, 2022.

In his speech, CM said that Jio would launch its 5G services in Indore and Bhopal before the end of 2022.

The launch of Jio True 5G confirms Jio’s commitment and supports the technology readiness for the upcoming 17th edition of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas and the Global Investor Summit to be held in Indore in January 2023, Jio said in a statement.

Starting today, Jio users in the city of Indore and Bhopal, will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer, to experience Unlimited Data at up to 1 Gbps+ speeds, at no additional cost.

“We are proud to rollout 5G in Indore and Bhopal ahead of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas and the Global Investor Summit in January 2023. Jio True 5G is the only 5G service to be available in these cities and we honoured our commitment to the Hon’ble CM regarding the launch of True 5G services in the state,” a Jio Spokesperson said in the statement.

Indore and Bhopal are important destinations in MP with a special focus on education, tourism, and industrial growth.

“We are grateful to the Hon’ble CM Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the State Government, MP administration team for their continuous support in our quest to digitize the region. Jio continues to be the most loved telecom brand in the state and enjoys almost two-third of data traffic and almost half the customer market share in the region”, the spokesperson added.

By January 2023, Jio will launch its Jio True 5G services in other major cities like Jabalpur, and Gwalior. In addition, every town, and taluka of Madhya Pradesh will be able to enjoy Jio True 5G services by the end of December 2023, the Jio statement said.

Reliance Jio Announces Largest Multi-State Rollout of 5G Services

Reliance Jio on Wednesday launched its 5G services in 11 cities, including Lucknow, Trivandrum, Mysuru, Nashik, Aurangabad and Chandigarh, marking the largest multi-state rollout of the services till date.

Jio‘s 5G services have also gone live in Mohali, Panchkula, Zirakpur, Kharar and Derabassi, according to a statement by the company.

Reliance Jio has become the first and the only operator to launch 5G services in Trivandrum, Mysuru, Nashik, Aurangabad, Chandigarh Tricity, including areas of Mohali, Panchkula, Zirakpur, Kharar, and Derabassi,” the statement said terming it the “largest multi-state roll-out of 5G services till date”.

Jio users in these cities will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer, to experience unlimited data at up to 1 Gbps plus speeds, at no additional cost, starting Wednesday.

“These cities are important tourism destinations as well as key education hubs of our country,” a Jio spokesperson said.

Reliance Jio first announced the rollout of its True 5G services on the occasion of Dussehra. According to an official statement released by Reliance Jio on October 4, Jio True 5G welcome offer was launched in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Varanasi for Jio users, by invitation.

Later in the month of October, the services were also rolled out in Rajasthan from the Nathdwara temple. 

In November, the company announced to launch 5G services in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Pune. On the other hand, Kochi and some select cities of Andhra Pradesh received Jio’s 5G services in December. 

The 5G is the fifth-generation mobile network capable of transmitting a large set of data at a very rapid speed. In comparison to 3G and 4G, it has a very low latency which will enhance user experiences in various sectors. Low latency describes the efficiency to process a very high volume of data messages with a minimal delay.

Jio True 5G Rolls Out in Select Cities of Andhra Pradesh, Entire State to Get 5G by December 2023

Jio has started its True 5G services in Andhra Pradesh with the launch of the service in Tirumala, Visakhapatnam, Vijaywada and Guntur. Andhra Pradesh Information and Technology Minister Gudivada Amarnath and Chief Secretary KS Jawahar Reddy launched the Jio True 5G and Jio True 5G Powered wi-fi services at an event here on Monday.

A company release said that Jio demonstrated the immersive benefits of 5G in the field of healthcare, through Jio Community Clinic medical kit, and the revolutionary AR-VR device, Jio Glass.

“These benefits will bring phenomenal changes in the lives of people in Andhra Pradesh,” it said.

Gudivada Amarnath, who is also Andhra Minister for Industries and Commerce and Infrastructure and Investment, said 5G services will bring transformational benefits to the people of the state.

“I am happy to launch Jio’s True 5G services in Andhra Pradesh. 5G services, in the long run, will bring transformational benefits for the people of Andhra Pradesh,” he said.

The minister said that Jio 5G services will be available throughout the state by the end of next year.

“Apart from their existing investment of Rs. 26,000 crore, additionally Jio has invested over Rs. 6,500 crore for deploying a 5G network in Andhra Pradesh and this shows their immense commitment towards our state’s development. By December 2023, Jio True 5G services will be made available in every town, taluka, mandalam and village of Andhra Pradesh,” he added.

Chief Secretary KS Jawahar Reddy said the new service will open doors to growth opportunities in several areas including e-governance, education and healthcare.

“With the launch of Jio’s True 5G services, Andhra Pradesh is not just getting the best telecommunication network, but will open doors to growth opportunities in the areas of e-governance, education, healthcare, IT and SME business,” he said.

“Jio True 5G will also enable citizens and government to remain connected on a real-time basis and will also improve implementation and efficiency of government schemes till the last mile user. Andhra Pradesh Government has a special focus on the start-up ecosystem, and the advent of True 5G services by Jio will give a huge boost to the start-ups that are working on new technologies such as IoT, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & Data Analytics. The advent of Jio True 5G will further propel these Start-ups in Andhra Pradesh and give them wings to fly,” he added.

A Jio spokesperson said the True 5G network will expand across the state in a short period of time.

“We are excited to commence Jio True 5G in Andhra Pradesh. Jio True 5G network will expand across the length and breadth of the state within a short period of time. Jio engineers are working round-the-clock to deliver True 5G benefits to every Indian so that the transformational power and the exponential benefits of this technology can be experienced by every citizen of our great country.”

The spokesperson expressed gratitude to the state Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy Garu and the state government “for extending their support in digitising Andhra Pradesh”.

The release aid that starting December 26, Jio users in Tirumala, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Guntur will be invited to the Jio Welcome offer through which they can experience Unlimited Data at up to 1 Gbps+ speeds, at no additional cost.

More cities in the state will be 5G-ready by January 2023, it said.

These cities were Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Varanasi. Later, Jio launched its 5G services at Nathdwara in Rajasthan. To avail the services in Bengaluru and Hyderabad, the Jio users will have to wait to get an invite for ‘Jio Welcome Offer’.

Reliance Jio AirFiber, Jio Cloud PC Announced During Reliance AGM 2022: Details Here

Jio AirFiber and Jio Cloud PC services were introduced during Reliance Industries’ 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday. The JioAirFiber allow users to access Gigabit-speed Internet without any wires while the Jio Cloud PC is a virtual PC that is hosted in the cloud using without any hardware requirement. Reliance Jio has branded its fifth-generation mobile network service as Jio True 5G and both the Jio AirFiber and Jio Cloud PC will work based on this service.

Reliance Jio Chairman Akash Ambani, during the 45th AGM of RIL, demonstrated the new Jio AirFiber and Jio Cloud PC. As mentioned, the JioAirFiber lets users access Gigabit-speed Internet through wireless networks at home and offices.

The JioAirFiber Home Gateway is a wireless single device that can be plugged into the power source and will work as a Wi-Fi hotspot. It will be connected to high-speed Internet using Jio’s True 5G.

The Jio Cloud PC, on the other hand, is essentially a virtual PC that is hosted in the cloud through the Jio True 5G connectivity. The concept replaces physical laptops and desktops and comes without any major hardware requirements. It can be used to connect multiple PCs and users need to pay only to the extent used.

Reliance Jio has earmarked Rs. 2 lakh crore investment for rolling out 5G services in India in the next two months.
