Coachella Re-Tries Bringing Benefits-Loaded NFTs Despite Terrifying First Try, Partners With OpenSea

Coachella, touted among world’s most famous annual music festivals held in the US, is trying a second stab at launching NFTs with VIP benefits for holders. To do so, the music and arts festival conglomerate has teamed up with OpenSea, the world’s largest NFT marketplace that operates only digitally. Coachella has decided to release a total of three NFT lineups. All three will offer different bundles of advantage for the buyers of these digital collectibles through OpenSea.

On an average, around 125,000 attendees reach the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California each year around April. Coachella’s decision to push out NFT collections could directly drive engagement to the NFT sector on a massive level.

The first collection has already been dropped on OpenSea by the name of — the VIP Pass + Oasis Lounge Keepsake by Coachella. A total of 1,024 NFTs are part of this collection. Holders of these NFTs will get exclusive bar benefits with limited complimentary drinks, and shaded lounge among other benefits. NFTs from this collection are up for being minted for $1,499 (roughly Rs. 1.24 lakh) on the AVAX (Avalanche) blockchain.

As far as the other two collections are concerned, Coachella reportedly plans to lift the curtains off them around March and mid-April.

“NFT-based music and ticketing collections are one of the best ways for the crypto subsector to gain mainstream adoption. Tickets can have special memories around them for fans, and there’s potential for them to not to just be memorabilia, or a collectible, but also bring in utility,” a tweet threat from Avalanche quoted Devin Finzer, CEO and co-founder of OpenSea as saying.

This, however, is not the first time that Coachella is trying its hand at offering benefits laden NFTs as festival passes and digital souvenirs.

In February 2022, Coachella decided to give away ten lifetime passes to the buyers of its NFTs. The music festival, at the time, had launched an NFT marketplace built by the now bankrupt company FTX US. Soon after, when FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried’s fortune collapse, these passes and their promises fell flat leaving holders high and dry.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Irina Shayk spend more time at Coachella

Getting serious.

Less than 24 hours after they were spotted at a Coachella party, Leonardo DiCaprio and Irina Shayk got together a second time to watch Frank Ocean perform on Sunday night.

The two, who had clearly come together to watch the singer’s set, interacted a couple of times and even hung out in the same social group.

The Russian-born model, 37 — who was rumored to be reconciling with her ex Bradley Cooper late last year — stunned in a black top with oversized gold hoop earrings.

She slicked her raven tresses back into a high ponytail as she stood in the crowd next to the “Titanic” actor, 48.

The pair were seen hanging out twice in the span of 24 hours.

DiCaprio, on the other hand, kept a low profile in his go-to black cap while taking in the “Novacane” singer’s tunes.

The night before, the Oscar winner got cozy with the Victoria’s Secret model at Levi and Tequila Don Julio’s Neon Carnival.

The pair appeared to be joined by several friends, including model Stella Maxwell.

Reps for Shayk and DiCaprio didn’t immediately return Page Six’s requests for comment.

The mother of one’s last public relationship was with Cooper, whom she shares her 6-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper, with.

The former couple called it quits in 2019 after four years of dating.

However, sources told Page Six in November 2022 that the duo was “trying to get pregnant” with a sibling for Lea after they went on a family trip together.

“It was a real family getaway and they are considering getting back together. Irina would like her daughter to have a sibling,” the insider said at the time.

Ariana Madix gets tattoo at Coachella 2023 amid Scandoval

Ariana Madix is a changed woman.

The “Vanderpump Rules” star was a standout during the first weekend of Coachella 2023, hitting the desert and a slew of parties amid drama with her ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval and former friend Raquel Leviss.

In between living it up — and even making out with a new man — Madix, 37, stopped by Kourtney Kardashian’s Poosh pop-up to get inked by celebrity tattoo artist JonBoy.

The lifestyle site’s Instagram account posted a slew of photos from its event, captioned, “What happens at #CampPoosh stays at #CampPoosh 🤫 #pooshtheboundaries,” and included one of the bartender in an all-white look showing off her new tattoo.

Ariana Madix’s Coachella kiss was caught on camera!

The “Vanderpump Rules” star engaged in a hot-and-heavy makeout with personal trainer Daniel Wai at the music festival on Sunday.

In footage obtained by TMZ, the Bravo personality danced with Wai and put her arms around him during a passionate kiss while watching an outdoor performance.

The duo appeared in each other’s respective Instagram Stories multiple times over the weekend.

When the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival kicked off on Friday, Madix also made headlines for locking lips with co-star Dayna Kathan.

Madix, who attended the event with Scheana Shay, told TikTok users in a video shared by influencer Farai Bennett that she is feeling “amazing.”

Madix’s fun-filled weekend comes amid news that Leviss, 28, “enter[ed] a voluntary facility for mental health counseling” amid the fallout of her betrayal, dubbed Scandoval.

During his first sit-down interview with Howie Mandel last week, Sandoval said he and Leviss are “taking a break” from their sexual relationship.

“We’re not putting any label on it,” he told “Howie Mandel Does Stuff Podcast” listeners on April 11, calling Leviss his “good friend.”
