Rockets secure two-way deal with Jermaine Samuels Jr.

The Rockets have signed forward Jermaine Samuels Jr. to a two-way NBA contract, per NBA insider Shams Charania. This contract comes as a result of Samuels’ display during the Las Vegas Summer League, where he averaged 11.3 points, 5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists for Houston.

The 24-year-old forward spent the 2022-23 season with the For Wayne Mad Ants, averaging18.3 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 34.7 minutes per game in the G League.

With Samuels’ inclusion, the Rockets are poised to benefit from his well-rounded skill set and commitment to success. The two-way contract offers the young talent a valuable opportunity to make his mark in the NBA and further elevate his career in the league.
