Robert Griffin III gushes over New York Giants LB Kayvon Thibodeaux

The narrative on New York Giants outside linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux has changed in his second season as he now has some solid stats to illustrate what he can do on the field.

Former NFL quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner, Robert Griffin III, is one of the many experts around the game who have been impressed by Thibodeaux this season.

On Wednesday, head coach Brian Daboll was asked what area of Thibodeaux’s game specifically where he sees improvement in this year.

“Really all of them,” he said. “I’ve said this before, I’ve got a high amount of respect for Kayvon, glad we have him. He’s made progress since the day he walked in this door. He’s got good leadership traits about him, he’s a talented player, he loves the game of football, he’s a great teammate. I’m glad we have him. He’s really made a lot of progress and he always strives for more. He’s done a nice job for us.”

Many have been beating on Thibodeaux this year for no reason. Local radio hosts actually hung up on Giants Ring of Honoree and game analyst Carl Banks for defending Thibodeaux for his growth as a complete player.

Thibodeaux is tuning it all out and concentrating on his profession.

“Thanks for all the recognition but I’m not a victim and ‘prove people wrong’ narratives are old. I’m playing good football and constantly getting better. Let’s stop hanging on to old headlines,” Thibodeaux wrote on X.
