Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis will be re-evaluated on a two-week basis regarding his stress injury in his right foot, sources told Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report. Haynes added that if Davis made significant healing, he’ll proceed to ramped up activities on his way to a needed return with the club.

The Lakers have proceeded to rule out Davis in an indefinite timetable, wherein there were “extensive consultation with Lakers team physicians and outside specialists” conducted to determine the severity and condition of the big man.

Davis sustained the injury last Dec. 16 in a win against the Denver Nuggets. It took days before Davis was officially given an update regarding his injury, which drew massive speculations that he’ll be inactive for a lengthy timeline.

This new injury by Davis can only cost his best season yet in his career, as the big man is averaging 27.4 points, 12.1 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game in 25 appearances. He is also dominantly shooting in a near-60 percent field goal mark, as he is now shouldering the franchise’s reigns over LeBron James.

With him out, L.A. can only do nothing but lend their trust towards Thomas Bryant and Wenyen Gabriel to anchor their frontcourt. As such, James is much expected to lead them and continue pursuing their hopes of a season of revival.
