Nobody wants Cam Johnson to remain in the Brooklyn Nets other than his “twin” in Mikal Bridges.

Bridges echoed his desire of having Johnson back to the Nets to Kristian Winfield of New York Daily News. He also revealed that whenever he speaks to the sharpshooting wingman, he continues to persuade to stay with him in the Brooklyn area.

“He definitely knows I want him here (in Brooklyn) and nowhere else,” Bridges said.

Both Bridges and Johnson share a brotherhood bond since their past tenure in the Phoenix Suns. They landed in Brooklyn at the last 2022-23 trade deadline as the Suns ultimately executed a blockbuster deal starring Kevin Durant.

Johnson, who averaged a career-best 15.5 points and 4.4 boards last season, will hit the offseason market as a restricted free-agent. The Nets have already implied on multiple occasions that they will match any offer that the forward will obtain, though the Detroit Pistons are consistently being rumored as a strong competitor for them to land him.

Bridges and Johnson are also slated to play for Team USA in the upcoming FIBA World Cup this year in the Philippines.
