Michael Malone to Michael Porter Jr.: “You helped us win”
The Denver Nuggets outlasted the Miami Heat 94-89 in an ugly, frantic Game 5 on Monday night. After the game, the Nuggets head coach Michael Malone came up with a heartfelt message to small forward Michael Porter Jr.:
“You helped us win a championship … Don’t [say] like ‘Oh, I didn’t make shots’. We won a championship and you were a huge part of that, and we’re gonna win another one.”
