Manchester United are reportedly interested in both Frenkie de Jong and Jude Bellingham.
According to Miguel Delaney (The Independent), the Red Devils are set to decide between the two world-class players for next season.
De Jong was Erik ten Hag’s number-one target this summer, but the club failed to land him.
Despite agreeing a fee with FC Barcelona in July, De Jong had his heart set in Spain and was reluctant to move.
Moreover, the deferred wages owed to him by Barca made things very complicated.
United eventually decided to sign Real Madrid’s Casemiro.
The club are still said to be in contact with De Jong over a possible move, with Ten Hag viewing him as an ‘irreplaceable option in midfield.’
Borussia Dortmund’s Bellingham has attracted plenty of interest from clubs around the world.
As per the report, people in England believe that United and Liverpool are the two clubs likely to get into a battle for the Englishman’s signature.
In Germany, the media expect Real Madrid to get involved in the race.
United view Bellingham as a generational talent and wouldn’t want to turn down the opportunity to sign him.
