Manchester United senior scouts impressed with Trevan Sanusi, summer deal being planned – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United have been quite aggressive in the transfer market recently when it comes to deals for young and upcoming stars who have the potential to become world-beaters.

The Red Devils have paid big money for the likes of Alejandro Garnacho, Hannibal Mejbri and Amad Diallo to name a few.

And the ploy is working a treat with the Argentine already a bonafide first-team star while Diallo is expected to challenge for a first-team spot next season.

United’s next young superstar

United are not stopping there with Football Insider claiming that Birmingham City sensation Trevan Sanusi has been watched extensively by United scouts with the view of offering him a deal in the summer.

The centre-forward rejected Birmingham’s scholarship contract offer and is looking to leave as soon as he turns 16 next week.

“Man United sent two senior scouts to watch Birmingham City sensation Trevan Sanusi on Monday night, sources have told Football Insider.

“Sanusi’s contract rejection has alerted United, who are planning to bid for the rising star in the coming weeks after being hugely impressed by his performances,” the report mentioned.

Sanusi’s performance for Birmingham’s Under-21s against Watford on Monday floored United’s scouts with a United source claiming he was “the best player on the pitch by a mile”.

United have failed with one Birmingham prodigy in the past in Jude Bellingham and they are not prepared to lose out again.

Chelsea vs United for Sanusi

But they will face heavy competition from fellow Premier League rivals Chelsea and Arsenal who are also eyeing the England Under-16 international.

Chelsea, who have recently become very aggressive in this market, are said to be United’s main competitor.

The 15-year-old can play all across the front line, both in the centre as well as out and wide and this versatility has endeared him to many Premier League clubs.

Scouts of many clubs, including United, have been impressed with his ability to be a prolific scorer and creator and they have always delivered rave reviews to their respective recruitment teams.

United have a great relationship with the Championship outfit, having loaned Mejbri to them this season and selling academy graduate Tahith Chong.
