Manchester United have made the most concrete bid for Eintracht Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will be concerned heading into the Europa League quarterfinal first leg against Sevilla due to the absence of his top goal-scorer.

Marcus Rashford has notched 28 goals this campaign, a personal best, and his goals have made up more than 30 per cent of the goals scored by United in the European competition.

The manager confirmed the Mancunian’s absence for a few games during the pre-match press conference and without his goals, United would be in a world of pain.

ETH has major striker headache to solve

The Dutch boss will have no option but to rely on injury-prone Anthony Martial and struggling loan signing Wout Weghorst as he looks to add two more trophies to the silverware cabinet.

This untimely injury is yet another reminder of the need for the Reds to bring in an elite striker next season. The options at the former Ajax coach’s disposal are nothing extraordinary.

United have been linked with the likes of Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen and Goncalo Ramos to name a few but a lot will depend on the club’s sale and the subsequent transfer budget assigned to Ten Hag.

Another name that has constantly found mention is that of Eintracht Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani and as per Sport Bild (via Sport Witness), the 20-time English league champions have made the ‘most concrete bid’ for the versatile forward.

The report once again mentioned that the uncertainty surrounding the takeover process is what is ‘holding up’ a potential summer deal for the Frenchman.

United bid for Kolo Muani

The France international has been in sensational form this season, notching 19 goals and 14 assists in 38 games across all competitions. He also grabbed a goal and assist each during France’s run to the World Cup final.

The defending Europa League champions are aware of the interest their star man is generating and are holding out for a transfer fee beyond €100million.

United were said to have enquired about Muani’s services back in January with Ten Hag valuing his ‘power and technique’ as well as his defensive diligence.

The move makes even more sense with the player himself said to consider the Old Trafford side as his “favourite club” and would be willing to move to Manchester.
