Luka Doncic went for 25 points in a losing effort
Luka Doncic had a strong performance in the 2023 NBA Preseason opener, scoring 25 points in 17 minutes for the Dallas Mavericks. Despite his efforts, the Mavericks lost 111-99 to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Doncic connected on 8/14 field goals, but the comeback fell short as the Timberwolves secured the win. Karl-Anthony Towns led the Timberwolves with 20 points in 17 minutes.
Anthony Edwards was ruled out due to a left ankle sprain. The teams will conclude the two-game series on Saturday.
