Luka Doncic guides Mavericks to victory over struggling Grizzlies

In a commanding performance, Luka Doncic orchestrated a 35-point spectacle, steering the Dallas Mavericks (14-8) to a triumphant 120-113 win against the Memphis Grizzlies (6-16) on Monday night.

Dereck Lively II emerged as a force on both ends, contributing 16 points and grabbing 16 rebounds, while Jaden Hardy’s explosive bench performance added 19 points for the Mavericks.

Despite missing key players like Kyrie Irving and Tim Hardaway due to injuries, Dallas showcased resilience, securing their third consecutive victory.

On the opposing side, Jaren Jackson Jr. displayed a remarkable season-high performance, scoring 41 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Memphis’ offensive struggles.

Dallas dominated with a 21-point lead in the early fourth quarter, and Doncic marked the occasion by sinking his 1,000th career three-pointer to open the final quarter.

Memphis, dealing with Ja Morant’s suspension and significant injuries, remains near the bottom of the Western Conference, with a 1-10 home record.

As Memphis aims to weather the storm until Morant’s return on December 19, the team faces an uphill battle, focusing on executing the game plan and elevating their energy level, according to Desmond Bane.
