In celebration of Mario Day, Nintendo announced that Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD will be released on Switch on June 27, 2024.

Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD was first announced in June 2023 and was confirmed to be a remaster of the 3DS title. In our Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon review, we said it “might be a sequel, but it’s one that shows Nintendo at its inventive best. It’s an essential game in the 3DS’ increasingly impressive line-up, and though I sometimes wished that it would leave me alone to explore more at my own pace, it’s otherwise difficult to fault a game this detailed, absorbing and masterfully made.”
This second title in the Luigi’s Mansion trilogy will join Luigi’s Mansion 3 on Switch, but the original has yet to make its way over to Nintendo’s latest console. However, a remake of the game was released on 3DS in 2018.
It was also revealed during Mario Day 2024 that Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door remake will be released on Switch on May 23, 2024.
