Rumors surrounding a potential reunion between LeBron James and Kyrie Irving have resurfaced, as NBA insider Brian Windhorst reveals that James still has interest in playing alongside his former teammate.

Despite previous trade rumors and Irving’s recent re-signing with the Mavericks, the possibility of James and Irving reuniting remains intriguing.

Windhorst shared his insights on The Hoop Collective podcast, expressing that James appreciates the idea of joining forces with Irving and current teammate Anthony Davis. The pairing of Davis and James has already proven to be a successful big-man combination, and according to Windhorst, the addition of Irving could potentially create the best guard pairing James has ever had.

“I will say this: I do think LeBron has an interest in playing with Kyrie Irving again,” Windhorst said on The Hoop Collective podcast, via ClutchPoints. “I think he likes the idea of playing with Kyrie — the concept of playing with Kyrie and Anthony Davis. I have long said the best big-man pairing that LeBron’s ever had, as far as pure fit, is Anthony Davis. I believe the best guard pairing LeBron’s ever had is Kyrie Irving.”
