The Giants are hoping to have two of their biggest pieces on offense – quarterback Daniel Jones (neck) and LT Andrew Thomas (hamstring) – back in time for this game but as of Wednesday, both were still questionable – as was rookie center John Michael Schmitz (shoulder).

Veteran Tyrod Taylor played well in Jones’ stead last week, throwing for 279 yards and a pair of touchdowns, but Thomas’ absence has been more noticeable as the patchwork offensive line has struggled significantly since the All-Pro was injured in Week 1.

The Jets come off their bye at 3-3 after handing the Eagles the lone defeat of the season in Week 6. Things seem to have slowed down somewhat for Zach Wilson, who was thrust into the starting role after Aaron Rodgers was lost for the season in the opener.

The teams have met just 14 times, with the Giants holding a slim 8-6 advantage. The Jets have won the last two matchup, which ended a run of five straight Giants wins. The Giants are 15-10 ATS in their last 25 games as an underdog of less than seven points in the NFL odds, while the Jets are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 as a favorite of seven or less points.
