Lakers to workout 6 players today as they prepare for 2023 NBA Draft
The Lakers are wasting no time in their preparations for the upcoming 2023 NBA Draft as they assess potential prospects for their two picks, number 17 and number 47. The team is set to commence draft workouts, focusing on evaluating a range of talented players who could be valuable additions to their roster.
According to Dave McMenamin, the Lakers’ draft workout on Friday will feature a group of six players. Among them are Kihei Clark, a 23-year-old point guard from Virginia, Chris Livingston, a 19-year-old forward from Kentucky, and Leonard Miller, a 19-year-old small forward from the G League Ignite.
Also participating in the workout were Adam Flagler, a 23-year-old shooting guard from Baylor, Maxwell Lewis, a 20-year-old shooting guard/small forward from Pepperdine, and DaRon Holmes II, a 20-year-old power forward from Dayton.
nbadraft.net has provided its predictions for these prospects, projecting Miller as the 19th overall pick, Flagler as the 41st pick, Lewis as the 12th pick, and Holmes as the 59th pick in the draft. However, draft projections can often fluctuate leading up to the event, and teams like the Lakers will conduct their own assessments to determine the best fit for their organization.
