Former NBA player JJ Redick was asked by a fan about what realistic moves the Warriors need to make this offseason. He thinks that Golden State needs to add options at the big position to address lack of shooting.

If the Dubs were to trade a player, Redick thinks that it should be Jordan Poole. “One of the things that happened in the playoffs was sort of the exposure of having two non-shooters on the floor,” he said on The Old Man & The Three podcast.

“I think some optionality at the big position whether Draymond [Green] comes back or not, I think some optionality there where you can put four shooters on the floor and stay big. Jordan Poole to me is the obvious one if you’re gonna trade someone.”

Reportedly, the Warriors are receiving calls from other teams about Poole. Prior to the 2022-2023 season the 23-year-old guard signed a four-year, $128 million contract with Golden State.

This past season Poole averaged career-high 20.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 30 minutes per game. He did struggle in the playoffs though, averaging just 10.3 points (34% field goals), 2.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 21.8 minutes per game.
