NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news on X, announcing that Jeff Van Gundy, former senior consultant for the NBA champion Boston Celtics, has finalized a deal to join Ty Lue’s coaching staff as the lead assistant for the Los Angeles Clippers.
Van Gundy, renowned for his basketball acumen, returns to full-time coaching after being sought after for years. His coaching career includes successful stints with the New York Knicks and Houston Rockets, amassing 430 regular-season wins and 44 playoff victories over 11 seasons.
