As Monty Williams finally agreed to become the new head coach of the Detroit Pistons in a groundbreaking deal, his Phoenix Suns assistant Jarrett Jack is believed to be a “priority” for him to bring in the Motor City, per Jake Fischer of Yahoo! Sports.

Jack served as an assistant under Williams in the last two seasons with the Suns, as both of them hold familiarity with each other.

The 39-year-old also played 16 years professionally and managed to suit up in nine different NBA franchises with his reliable point man game and admirable command.

With Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey and Killian Hayes set to propel themselves greatly under Williams, having Jack to the Pistons would be more integral towards the backline skills of the duo.

Williams was formally announced by the Pistons as their newest head coach in a most lucrative deal via six-year, $78.5MM contract. Reports suggest that the figure may reach up to $100 million on the coming days of finalization.
