The relationship between James Harden and the Philadelphia 76ers has taken a sharp turn for the worse. Harden, the 33-year-old basketball superstar, has openly criticized Daryl Morey, the President of Basketball Operations for the 76ers, labeling him a “liar” due to an alleged unkept promise.

Harden’s frustration has reached a point where he is reported to be declining participation in the Sixers’ training camp, as he actively seeks a trade, preferably to the Clippers.

“I’ve been patient all summer. For me, it’s just focus on what I can control and that’s working out, staying in shape and getting ready for a good season,” he said when asked if he has an open line of communication with the Sixers and how much patience he needs to have to let this situation play out.

When questioned about the possibility of mending the strained relationship, the former league MVP responded with a telling, “Uh, I think so.” This succinct response signifies the apparent irreparable nature of the damage to his relationship with the team.
