How we graded Big Blue in Week 7 loss to Eagles

The defense had its highs and lows on Sunday but was hindered by an ineffective offense.

Dexter Lawrence was practically living in the backfield as he totaled 2.0 sacks and two tackles for loss. The entire pass rush was effective overall as they hit Philadelphia’s quarterbacks seven times and sacked them five times.

However, outside of the pass rush, the defense needs some serious work. Again, big plays destroyed this unit as the Eagles recorded multiple 30-plus yard runs and a 41-yard touchdown pass.

The play from the secondary as a whole was uninspiring as it appeared that Deonte Banks was going half-speed and Nick McCloud simply could not keep up with A.J. Brown.

This defense clearly has a lot of potential and is likely a couple of pieces away from being one of the best in the NFL. For now, with all of these injuries and a terrible offense one can expect a lot of points to be racked up against Big Blue.
