Heat reportedly eyeing Christian Wood and Kelly Oubre in free agency

The Heat are eyeing potential targets to strengthen their roster for the upcoming season, with Christian Wood and Kelly Oubre emerging as prominent names in free agency. Barry Jackson of Miami Herald reports that both players are seeking contracts beyond the minimum, indicating their value in the market.

Christian Wood, the 27-year-old forward, showcased his versatility and scoring prowess during the 2022-23 season with the Mavericks, averaging an impressive 16.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in just 25.9 minutes per game.

Meanwhile, Kelly Oubre, also 27, delivered a career-best performance for the Hornets last season, averaging an impressive 20.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 32.3 minutes per game.

While the Heat has shown interest in both players, their agents have not disclosed any specific conversations between the parties.
