Gypsy Rose Blanchard is looking forward to starting a new chapter.
Indeed, since being let out of prison in December 2023 after 8 years in behind bars for her role in the 2015 murder of her mother Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, the 33-year-old has been under strict parole conditions. One of which is being unable to live with Ken Urker, with whom she shares daughter Aurora Raina Urker.
“Everything is day by day right now,” Gypsy said on the May 19 episode of Gypsy Rose Life After Lock Up. “So, we’re just winging it. It’s hard to keep up a relationship whenever you’re living in two separate places, and you’ve got schedules that interfere.”
Ken, who rekindled his relationship with Gypsy in April 2024, has also felt the strain of the distance.
“Gypsy’s been gone all week, and my little Aurora isn’t home,” he told producers in a separate scene. “It definitely feels a little depressing around the house. I feel like I have no purpose during the daytime before work. I feel like I have to find things to occupy my time, it’s very lonely.”
