Giants’ Kayvon Thibodeaux has hilarious reaction to dropped pick-6

The New York Giants got their second win of the season on Sunday when they defeated Washington Commanders, 14-7.

Big Blue’s defense came to play and contributed in a big way against their division rivals.

The score was not really indicative of how the game went as the Giants really should have won a lot more comfortably. Saquon Barkley fumbled in the red zone and Sterling Shepard muffed a punt — those two turnovers helped keep Washington alive late in the game.

The Giants also had a dropped interception by Kayvon Thibodeaux that would have likely been a pick-6.

Thibodeaux was asked about the dropped interception after the game and his reaction is a lot more amusing given that the team won.

“Ah man, I knew that was going to come,” Thibodeaux said in response to the question. “It went from an interception to a punt return and I just saw the open grass and I saw the blockers and I looked up and (expletive) just hit me in the stomach. But yeah we’ve got to get back. I’m weak for that, so yeah, I’m weak for that. I know.”

Thibodeaux, like the rest of the team, had been heavily criticized for his lack of production early in the season but has since turned it around. He has a knack for elevating his game against Washington dating back to his rookie campaign last year.

The Giants’ defense played at an elite level on Sunday. Ideally, Wink Martindale’s group can continue to improve and create more opportunities like the one Thibodeaux had on Sunday.
