In a significant coaching shakeup, Fenerbahce has officially parted ways with Dimitris Itoudis, the team’s head coach since the summer of 2022.

Itoudis leaves behind a mixed legacy, guiding Fenerbahce to a 27-25 record in the EuroLeague over the last season and a half.

The decision comes amid a challenging season for Fenerbahce, currently sitting in the 12th spot with a 6-7 record in the standings.

Last season Itoudis led Fenerbahce to the EuroLeague Playoffs in his inaugural campaign, clinching the eighth seed and pushing Olympiacos Piraeus to a decisive fifth game.

Replacing Itoudis is Andrea Trinchieri, who had been without a coaching position since parting ways with FC Bayern Munich last summer.

Trinchieri’s appointment follows extensive speculation, with Sarunas Jasikevicius initially identified as the primary target for Fenerbahce, as reported by Matteo Andreani.

This coaching transition marks a significant moment for Fenerbahce, signaling a shift in leadership as they strive to improve their standing and performance in the EuroLeague.
