Edwards, Towns lead Timberwolves to blowout Game 2 win over Nuggets

Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns led the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 106-80 blowout win over the Denver Nuggets in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals.

The Wolves’ suffocating defense held the Nuggets to a dismal 29-of-83 shooting performance, despite the absence of Rudy Gobert.

With both Edwards and Towns contributing 27 points each, the Timberwolves extended their unbeaten streak to 6-0 in the playoffs.

The frustration was palpable for the Nuggets, with coach Michael Malone expressing his displeasure at an official, and Jamal Murray displaying his frustration by throwing a heat pack onto the court.
