Dusko Ivanovic makes a comeback to Baskonia, taking over from Joan Penarroya
After enduring a string of five consecutive losses in various competitions since October 17, Baskonia decided to part ways with Joan Penarroya and appointed Dusko Ivanovic as their new head coach.
The 54-year-old Penarroya had been under speculation about his coaching position in recent weeks.
Despite expressing his commitment to continue working and break the losing streak as long as he had a job with the Basque Country team, he was ultimately released from his contract.
The team officially announced the change on Monday, introducing Ivanovic as his successor.
