Concern for Liverpool as Sadio Mane’s summer exit plans revealed

 

Word stemming from the media on Thursday evening points towards Sadio Mane having his sights set firmly on a departure from Liverpool this summer.

Chatter surrounding the future of wide-man Mane has of course begun to ramp up of late.

This comes with the Senegalese international’s current terms on Merseyside due to come to a conclusion in the summer of 2023.

To this point, Mane is understood to have shown little intent towards putting pen to paper on a new deal, sparking inevitable speculation that the explosive attacker has been added to the transfer wishlists of a number of European football’s biggest clubs.

And now, it appears as though one such club have seen their hopes of landing the Liverpool star afforded a significant boost.

The outfit in question? Bayern Munich.

As per a report from German outlet Bild, Mane has been left flattered by the advances of the Bundesliga champions, to the point that he has now set his sights firmly on a move to the Allianz Arena.

The 30-year-old is said to be keen to bring a close to his Liverpool stint with a 2nd Champions League winner’s medal, before taking his talents to Bavaria ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

‘After the Champions League…’

Coincidentally, word of Mane’s alleged summer plans comes fresh on the back of the former Southampton star being drawn on his future once more just 24 hours ago.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of Saturday’s showdown with Real Madrid in Paris, the Liverpool star remained non-committal in explaining:

‘There will be new discussions at the end of the season. I’ll answer after the Champions League final’
