Charles Barkley: Suns clearly wanted to get rid of Deandre Ayton
The Damian Lillard trade saga concluded with a three-team trade involving the Phoenix Suns’ Deandre Ayton.
NBA legend Charles Barkley has weighed in on the situation, suggesting that the Suns had been looking to move Ayton for some time.
“With the Suns, something was going on with Deandre Ayton. It goes back to there was an issue with Monty Williams and Deandre Ayton. Now it must have been something else going on in the organization. (Phoenix) clearly just wanted to get rid of him,” Barkley said, per Duane Rankin.
