Unfortunately, as it turns out, Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka don’t belong together.

After almost a decade together, the duo have officially broken up, the choreographer confirmed Dec. 26.

“Dear friends and fans,” he began a lengthy statement on Instagram. “With mixed emotions, I share this personal update regarding my amicable separation from Mariah Carey after seven extraordinary years together. Our decision to embark on different paths is mutual, and as we navigate these separate journeys, we do so with profound respect and an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the invaluable time we’ve shared. The memories we’ve created and the artistic collaborations are etched in my heart forever.”

That especially includes his time spent with her and Nick Cannon‘s 12-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan. 

“Mariah’s dedication to her family and her commitment to her craft have inspired us during our shared journey,” Bryan wrote. “I want to express my love and appreciation for Mariah and her incredible children, whose warmth and kindness have enriched my life in ways words cannot capture.”

And her latest piece is guaranteed to make you ugly cry. Why? Because Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s 10-year-old received a custom Alexander Wang bag for Christmas featuring the 2012 meme of her mom in tears.

But she better hold onto that purse tightly because Kim has gotta have it. “OMG this bag for North,” the 43-year-old captioned a Dec. 23 Instagram Story. “I’m stealing it.”

The purse wasn’t the only gift North got for Christmas. After all, for her kids—North, Saint, 8, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 4—Kim goes all out. And this year, she showed off the presents wrapped in SKIMS cotton fabric piled high under her tree.

And not only did the white jersey coordinate with her winter wonderland theme, but it also had a greater purpose.

“I’m going to reuse it,” Kim explained of her gift-wrapping decision ahead of Christmas. “When everyone opens it, I’m going to take the fabric and reuse it on stuff that I make for my family. So I thought it was a really fun, cool way to just having something that you can use over and over again.”

In 2010, investigators conducted a fresh round of interviews, hoping to shake something, anything loose. “I understand that they met with Burke and gave him a card and said, ‘If you want to talk to us, here’s how you would contact me,'” Ramsey family attorney Lin Wood told Boulder’s Daily Camera newspaper in October 2010. “But the police have not interviewed Burke.”

John told Barbara Walters in an interview in 2015 that he still predicted either DNA would solve his daughter’s murder “or someone who knows something will become angry or bitter against this person and will tell.”

Looking back on the immediate days following JonBenét’s death, John said, “When something really tragic happens in your life, put your life in park. Give your checkbook to a trusted friend. Avoid making any big decisions. Because you’re just not capable of making good decisions.”

And that can be said for every single person involved with the case. Stan Garnett, the Boulder D.A. who succeeded Mary Lacy, called her exoneration of the Ramseys in 2008 “legally insignificant,” telling the Daily Camera he wasn’t bound by her actions should the case move forward under his watch.

As former state’s attorney Troy Eid also told the paper in October 2016, “It’s incredible the number of cases that get solved later. And also as DNA testing gets better, it sometimes removes doubt and sometimes adds doubt.”

He added, “It’s not too late for justice.

Shannen Doherty is looking forward to a charming new year.

After all, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum said 2023 was quite the “turbulent year” as she faced “some massive health struggles, some massive personal struggles, a lot of heartbreak and fear” amid her ongoing battle with cancer.

“But with all of that,” she noted on the Dec. 25 episode of her Let’s Be Clear podcast, “I was actually saying this to myself the other night, ‘God, I think I’m actually starting to live the happiest version of myself.'”

The 52-year-old added, “Even though it’s been such a contentious year for me, for some reason it just feels it’s gotten a lot lighter lately and a lot more positive.”

In fact, Doherty—who filed for divorce from husband Kurt Iswarienko in April after 11 years of marriage—said that her heart “is opening back up” these days.

“This year is about just being incredibly grateful that we’re here and we get to spend time with the people that are by our sides through thick and thin, who don’t walk away, who love us unconditionally, and that have the same beliefs and morals and standards and people who have character,” she noted. “I’m just so thankful really to be here for it.”

After all, on Dec. 21, a 6-year-old named Casper was meant to fly Spirit Airlines from Philadelphia to Fort Myers, Florida, but was accidentally put on the wrong flight to Orlando.

And when his grandmother Maria Ramos went to pick him up, she found his luggage—but no Casper. 

“They told me, ‘No, he’s not on this flight. He missed his flight,'” she told WINK-TV. “I said, ‘No, he could not miss his flight because I have the check-in tag.’ I ran inside the plane to the flight attendant and I asked her, ‘Where’s my grandson? He was handed over to you at Philadelphia?’ She said, ‘No, I had no kids with me.'”

Though he was ultimately found 160 miles away in Orlando, Maria is still searching for answers from the airline. “I want them to call me,” she said. “Let me know how my grandson ended up in Orlando. How did that happen? Did they get him off the plane? The flight attendant—after mom handed him with paperwork—did she let him go by himself? He jumped in the wrong plane by himself?”

On Dec. 26, Patrick Schwarzenegger and longtime girlfriend Abby Champion announced their engagement with a series of stunning beach photos. In one, the model showed off her gorgeous two-stone diamond ring while getting a kiss from her now-fiancé. In another, the duo embraced in front of a heart-shaped arrangement of red roses before toasting to the future with cake adorned with, yes, their faces.

As they captioned their joint Instagram post, “FOREVER AND EVER.”

Jason Sudeikis‘ kids are spreading the holiday cheer.

In fact, Otis, 9, and Daisy, 7, who the Ted Lasso star shares with ex Olivia Wilde, crashed their dad’s Christmas morning interview to reveal what they received from Santa Claus this year. As Jason—dressed in a Santa hat and an elf onesie—appeared on a video conference call to share his predictions on Dec. 25 basketball game between the Milwaukee Bucks and the New York Knicks, the two jumped on him with snuggles.

“A PS5,” Otis told said on ESPN’s Bird & Taurasi Show, after co-host Sue Bird asked about their presents. Meanwhile, Daisy held up dog plushie up to the camera and said, “I got this!”

Daisy then shared that she named her new stuffed toy “Gray Guy,” prompting Jason to joke that the moniker was a bit “on the nose” for a gray dog.

But those weren’t the only gifts the kids found under their tree this year. Jason revealed that he got Otis and Daisy motorized suitcases so they can “drive them through the airport.”
