That Jay-Z, Solange Elevator Ride—& More Jaw-Dropping Met Gala Moments

They also made it clear that any “reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false.” And while the situation did ring the alarm to some family discord, they reiterated they were standing together.

“At the end of the day families have problems and we’re no different,” Beyoncé, Solange and Jay-Z continued. “We love each other and above all we are family. We’ve put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same.”

Of course, that was easier said than done as many fans still had one big question: What did trigger that unfortunate incident? But as time went on, the stars reemphasized they were more focused on looking towards the future than bringing up the past.

“What’s important is that my family and I are all good,” Solange told Lucky magazine that summer. “What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that.”

You Know You Love All of Blake Lively’s Iconic Met Gala Looks

Blake Lively is the queen of the carpet.

The Gossip Girl alum is always the It Girl of the Met Gala, donning incredible looks year after year and somehow always managing to match the carpet.

And the 36-year-old famously doesn’t use a stylist, as she loves the chance to be innovative with her red carpet looks.

“I love design and I love fashion, and it’s a way to be creative,” she told Women’s Wear Daily in 2018. “In my job I get to be creative, but it’s over a period of time and so many other people are involved, whereas this is a beginning, middle, and end, and I get to be creative and there’s an end date in the near future.”

Blake’s creativity was on full display at her first Met Gala appearance in 2008, where she looked lovely in a black, strapless Ralph Lauren gown that featured a feathered bottom and came complete with short black gloves.

Charlie Puth Finally Reacts to Taylor Swift’s “Tortured Poets” Lyric

“Loml”: In this moving track, Taylor first sings about being called the love of someone’s life “about a million times.” However, the dynamic soon changed.

“If you know it in one glimpse, it’s legendary,” she notes. “What we thought was for all time was momentary.”

She ends the song by letting the person know, “You’re the loss of my life.”

While it could be about her long relationship with Joe, lyrics about “rekindled flames” and “we were just kids, babe” hint it’s about her spark with Matty after all these years: “I’ve felt a glow like this never before and never since.”

“I Can Do It With a Broken Heart”: The song appears to be about Taylor slaying her Eras Tour despite the heartbreak, noting that she’s “hittin’ my marks” on stage in front of a chanting crowd. She hides her emotions by putting on a strong face: “Lights, camera, bitch smile.”

Though this song is upbeat, it’s filled with lyrics of unrequited love.

“I’m so obsessed with him, but he avoids me like the plague / I cry a lot, but I am so productive, it’s an art,” she sings. “You know you’re good when you can even do it with a broken heart.”

“The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived”: Taylor has a few questions for “the smallest man who ever lived,” who seemingly left their relationship out of nowhere.

“You kicked out the stage lights, but you’re still performing,” she sings. “And in plain sight you hid / But you are what you did.”

Who Whoopi Goldberg Wants to Inherit Her $60 Million Fortune

Whoopi Goldberg’s $60 Million Fortune: Star Reveals Who Will Inherit Her Funds!

In Whoopi Goldberg‘s view, money should stay in the family.

The View host—who reportedly has a $60 million fortune—shared that she will be bequeathing “everything” to her daughter Alexandrea Martin, 50, who Whoopi welcomed with first husband Alvin Martin.

“One of the great answers is children learn by what they see,” the 68-year-old explained on the May 2 episode. “My mother worked her behind off and so that’s why I feel the way I feel and I’m leaving my kid everything that I have.”

Although leaving your money to your children might seem like the obvious choice, other Hollywood stars have recently shared why they’re intentionally choosing not to leave the big bucks to their kids. In fact, Guy Fieri admitted that his kids Hunter, 27 and Ryder, 18, will not be taking over his cooking empire unless they prove themselves.

“I’ve told them the same thing my dad told me,” he told Fox News in December. “My dad says, ‘When I die, you can expect that I’m going to die broke, and you’re going to be paying for the funeral.’ And I told my boys, ‘None of this that I’ve been building are you going to get unless you come and take it from me.'”

Jewel Shares Cryptic Message on Love Amid Kevin Costner Dating Rumors

Jewel‘s message on true love is a diamond in the rough.

Although the singer—who rumored to be dating Kevin Costner —is continuing to play coy on their relationship status, she did recently reveal why she’s in such a good place in life right now.

“I found love, and I’m not talking about Kevin’s,” Jewel told People in an interview published May 3. “I’m so happy, irrelevant of a man. It has nothing to do with being in a relationship or not being in one.”

As she put it, “I’m just happy.”

In fact, Jewel has never felt better. “I’m more inspired now than I’ve ever been in my life,” the 49-year-old added. “The most since I was like 19 or 20 years old.”

As for what else has filled her life with joy following her 2014 divorce from rodeo star Ty Murray? Their 12-year-old son Kase.

“We’re very, very, very silly. We’re ridiculous and wrestle a lot,” she shared. “I didn’t think that’s the type of mom I’d be, but we do play fight every day, and it’s so funny.”

Idea of You Author Has Eyebrow-Raising Reaction to Movie Ending

“The book is a book, and the movie is a movie,” she said. “You have to step away and let the filmmakers do what they’re going to do and not get too concerned with what it is you’ve created and when it stops because it’s a completely different medium.”

And when it comes to the new ending, Robinne understands that movie viewers often have trouble with films that end on a sad note.

“It’s America—Hollywood’s going to do what they’re going to do, and they’re going to throw a happy ending on everything,” she said. “I don’t know why. You hope they’ll keep to what you’ve written because it meant something to you, but you also have to think about the box office and viewers and what their audience is going to want to see.”

On the other hand, Robinne—who has also acted in films like Fifty Shades Darker and Seven Pounds—pointed out that a film like Titanic, which has a famously sad ending, did well with viewers. In fact, she went to see the film in theaters four times because she wanted to cry, adding, “Crying makes me feel like I’m alive.”

And while she isn’t opposed to revisiting her beloved characters in the future, she’s not totally sold on the idea for Solène and Hayes just yet, saying, “Maybe years down the line, I’ll go back, and I’ll give them more time together. But we’ll see.”

Kate Middleton, Prince William’s Pal Says They’re “Going Through Hell”

Kate Middleton and Prince William are experiencing a difficult period.

As the Princess of Wales continues to battle cancer, one of the couple’s go-to designers Amaia Arrieta shared that she’s keeping the royal family in her thoughts.

“I’m heartbroken at the moment,” she told The Telegraph in an interview published May 2. “I think they are going through hell—I hope they will be back. It’s really personal.”

Amaia went on to explain how honored she feels to have helped dress the royals, ever since Prince George, 10, wore her brand’s Amaia corduroy shorts in a 2014 Christmas photo. More recently, Princess Charlotte was pictured in her label’s checked skirt in the Mother’s Day photo that sparked an editing controversy.

“Dressing the royals gives me so much pride, I really do care about how they look,” the designer told the outlet. “They have put the traditional and classic way of dressing children on the map.”

Trevor Noah Reacts to Being Labeled “Loser” Over His Single Status

Trevor Noah has no issues being a bachelor.

The former Daily Show host got candid about dating, noting that “it doesn’t bother me at all” if people see him as a “loser” for being single and unmarried despite his successful career.

“Society has deemed me a loser whether I like it or not,” he shared on the May 2 episode of his What Now? podcast. “Being married is like you’ve served. There’s a certain honor that comes with it. If you’ve never been married, there’s this weird thing that people do to you where they treat you like you’re not a serious person in life.”

In fact, Trevor said there’s “a little bit of ostracization” against those who aren’t in romantic relationships when they become a certain age.

“So many things in society that are based around the plus-ones,” the 40-year-old explained, noting that he’s been denied bringing a friend to events where others with spouses were allowed to attend together. “I’m like, ‘This idiot got married six months ago. They don’t even know this person and you’re going to tell me that I can’t come with my best friend, who I can tell you every intimate detail about?'”

You Won’t Be Able to Unsee Ryan Gosling’s La La Land Confession

Ryan Gosling Pulled Off the Ultimate Stunt at the Action-Packed Premiere of ‘The Fall Guy’

Ryan Gosling wishes he could go back to the city of stars.

When the Barbie actor was asked if there’s a role he would like to redo, Ryan revealed there’s actually a moment in 2016’s La La Land—during a dance number with costar Emma Stone—that “haunts” him to this day.

“We’re dancing, Emma and I,” he explained to WSJ Magazine in a May 2 TikTok video, “and we—I didn’t know this would become the poster for the movie—but we were supposed to have our hands up, and I thought it’d be cool to put my hand like that.”

Ryan demonstrated for the magazine, showing that instead of raising his arm in the air at a straight angle like Emma, he tilted his wrist down, giving his hand a flat look, or as Ryan calls it, “la la hand.”

At the time, everyone told him to stick to the choreography for the song “A Lovely Night,” explaining that it wasn’t a good idea. However the 43-year-old was positive a flat hand was cooler than an angled hand. But looking back on it now, Ryan hates it, adding that it “just killed the energy.” Instead, he thinks it gave his hand a lazy look, known as “hamburger hands” in the dance world.
