Alex Rodriguez, 48, addressed some critics questioning the darker complexion he showed off at the Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Milwaukee Bucks game in Minneapolis, MN on Friday. The former professional baseball player took to TikTok to share a video in which he directly answered a comment that read, “He got really tan overnight” along with a laughing emoji. He revealed he just got back from a vacation and reminded the commenter that he’s Dominican.

“Alright everybody, I know that I’m dark. But I am Dominican and I went on vacation, and I fell asleep in the sun,” he said. “So everybody calm down,” he continued, before saying in Spanish, “Traquilito y suavecito, mi gente,” which translates to “Quiet and calm, my people.”

In addition to the video, Alex included a caption. “Everybody calm down, it’s just a tan,” it read.

Soon after the video went public on TikTok and Instagram, his followers were quick to comment with support. “You look amazing,” Alex’s girlfriend, Jaclyn Cordeiro, wrote while another follower assured him he didn’t have to explain his skin color. A third wrote, “I hate you even had to post this” and a fourth shared, “It looks good.”

Before Alex addressed the critics about his tan, he took to Instagram to share photos and video from the game he attended. One photo shows him sitting while posing and smiling with Jaclyn and Stephen A. Smith. He wore a black suit with a silver and black striped tie and black shoes while Jaclyn rocked an all white outfit that included a blazer, pants, and heels. “Great night having @espn out in Minnesota, hopefully first night of many to come!” Alex captioned the post.

When Alex’s not making headlines for his appearance, he’s doing so for sharing cute moments with his kids, who he shares with ex Cynthia Scurtis. The doting dad attended his 19-year-old daughter Natasha‘s high school graduation last year and shared cute snapshots from the event. His other daughter, Ella, 15, was also featured in the photos.

A Saturday night to remember.

After the 2024 SAG Awards, which was held on Feb. 24 at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles, some of the night’s biggest winners walked out of the venue with a trophy and straight into a celebration. 

Jon Hamm and wife Anna Osceola, Joey King, Kate Beckinsale, the cast of Ted Lasso and other stars were all spotted at the after-party, held at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood, Calif. and hosted by Netflix, which had streamed the award show live.

In addition, Melissa McCarthy, who presented the award for Outstanding Female Actor in a Comedy Series and husband Ben Falcone were seen hanging out with Tiny Beautiful Things star Kathryn Hahn and Stranger Things actor Brett Gelman.

Meanwhile, Kieran Culkin, who lost the honor of Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series to mock rival Pedro Pascal from The Last of Us, was spotted at the bash holding onto his Actor statuette, which he and the rest of the cast of Succession received when they won Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

Rebel Wilson, 43, met up with Taylor Swift‘s dad Scott Swift, whom she endearingly called “Papa Swift,” when she attended one of the singer’s Sydney, Australia Eras Tour shows this week. The actress took to Instagram to share a post full of photos and video from the fun night and one of the clips showed her and the proud parent singing along to Taylor’s song “Shake it Off” as she belted the lyrics out on stage. She held the phone out to record them both smiling and enjoying the moment as the lit up crowd jammed out behind them.

Rebel, who wore a black ensemble and had her long blonde hair down, also shared a photo with Taylor’s opening act, Sabrina Carpenter, and a photo of her holding up peace signs while in front of the stage during the show. She included a caption about how great the show was and called Taylor “incredible.”

“@taylorswift absolutely CRUSHED IT tonight! And thanks to @sabrinacarpenter for being so so cool and Papa Swift for all the chats! What an epic concert! Taylor you are just incredible!!! 🐨 🇦🇺 🎶,” her caption read.

Rebel’s latest post and visit to the Eras Tour comes four years after she starred alongside Taylor and others in the film version of the Cats musical. Both of them showed up to the premiere of the movie and posed with other cast members on the red carpet. They also did press interviews together for the feature.

When Rebel’s not busy hanging out with Taylor, she’s making headlines for sharing cute and memorable family moments. The Australian beauty recently posted photos of her one-year-old daughter Royce and her fiancee Ramona Agruma enjoying a sunny day together. They also all posed for an adorable snapshot by the seashore and even matched outfits in one photo. “2024’s already GREAT!” she captioned the post.

Rick and Michonne’s love story is just beginning. In the new series The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, Rick and Michonne seek to find their way back to each other after being kept apart for years. In the time that’s passed, Rick and Michonne have formed new acquaintances and enemies. Hollywood Life spoke exclusively with The Ones Who Live’s Lesley-Ann Brandt, Matthew August Jeffers, Craig Tate, and Terry O’Quinn at the Television Critics Association winter press tour about their characters’ dynamics with Rick and Michonne.

Lesley-Ann plays Pearl Thorne, a member of the Civic Republic Military who crosses paths with Rick. While it remains to be seen whether or not Thorne and Michonne will meet, the Lucifer alum admitted that “outside of this world Michonne and Thorne could have been friends in the sense that they’re both strong women. When you get through the layers to this very vulnerable center, and they allow those people who are truly worthy or they fully trust in on that, I think she [Michonne] represents hope, and I think Thorne represents survival.”

The actress noted that Rick and Thorne are “actually similar when they start out. They get to a point, and the question is, what are they going to do? What makes one person do this and another do that? I try and save Rick within this world, and they’re genuinely friends.”

One aspect of Thorne and Rick’s relationship that Lesley-Ann is grateful for is that there is no romantic tension. Thorne’s not going to be a thorn in the Richonne fandom’s side.

“I did not want the heat of the: is this romantic? I was like, I don’t have the bandwidth for that,” Lesley-Ann told Hollywood Life. “That was actually a really specific question I had going into accepting the project because I think showing us male-female relationships onscreen where there are just genuinely comrades, and they’re bonding through a human experience and a journey as opposed to something sexual or romantic. I was really happy that it was never set up that way.”

While Rick and Michonne’s romance is at the center of The Ones Who Live, platonic friendships are crucial to Rick and Michonne’s lives when they’re apart. Matthew plays Nat, a close friend to Michonne.

“Platonic love stories are fascinating because we’re so ingrained to infuse sex into inter-coed relationships,” he explained. “I think you have two here in the 6-episode series of Nat and Michonne in a very similar way [to Rick and Thorne]. Different paths but a similar way of connecting over shared values. Nat and Michonne are very strong in their beliefs and both have been through it in various ways. I think it’s that thing that I was talking about in the panel where you see someone across the room, and you know that they speak your language, that they understand your plight, and that they know your journey. I think that Nat and Michonne go on a really beautiful journey together. It’s mutually beneficial. It’s a symbiotic work. Each character gets kind of what they need from the other and it was beautiful to play that with Danai [Gurira].”

Terry is no stranger to a steely, tough-as-nails character. The Lost alum plays Beale, the leader of the Civic Republic Military. His job is to protect the people of the city and “above all to protect the future of the race.” He added, “He’ll take whatever measures he thinks are necessary to do that. He doesn’t ask many people about that.”

Craig stars as Donald Okafor, a high-ranking lieutenant in the Civic Republic Military. While adhering to their CRM duties, The Ones Who Live will pull the curtains back on characters like Okafor and show that “we’re all suffering from the qualms and vendettas of the past, living in some post-apocalyptic world, and we all kind of forget sometimes.” The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live premieres February 25. The series will air Sundays on AMC and AMC+.

This pretty little mama is excited to welcome a longtime friend into the pretty little mamas club.

Shay Mitchell spoke to E! News exclusively about her experience raising her two kids and also shared her thoughts on Ashley Benson‘s road to motherhood, as her former Pretty Little Liars costar prepares to give birth to her first child with husband Brandon Davis.

“Ashley, we’ve always known from those days on set, any time there was a baby around, she’s always been so incredible with kids,” Shay said at the luggage wash and store pop-up from her BÉIS travel and lifestyle brand in West Hollywood, Calif. Feb. 23. “She’s always loved kids. Always knew she would make a great mom when the time came.”

Shay, who is also launching a new BÉIS Kids travel collection, continued, “So I’m really excited for her in this journey. It’s gonna be really fun. Now we definitely have something else to bond over and I’ll be sending her a BÉIS diaper bag real soon.”

Pedro Pascal, 48, gave a memorable post-win interview while backstage at the 2024 SAG Awards on Saturday and it included a wish to kiss Kieran Culkin. The actor won the award for Best Male Actor in a Drama Series at the ceremony after the Succession star previously won in the same category at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards and jokingly told him to “suck it” in his acceptance speech. When asked “how badly” he would “rag Kieran at the afterparty” by Queer Eye star and Netflix’s backstage SAG Awards correspondent Tan France, Pedro gave a hilarious answer.

“I’m going to make out with Kieran,” Pascal replied. “That’ll be my revenge.”

Pedro went on to talk about his history with Kieran and praised him as a person. “He is the greatest. I can remember, years ago, him taking one of my younger siblings to an FAO Schwartz in Manhattan,” he explained, adding that he was in New York City to do a play at the time. “He came up to me and complimented me on the play, he was already famous, had been a lead in the movie Igby Goes Down, and he approached me in public just to tell me that — he doesn’t remember this at all, I remember this — we’ve known each other since then.”

“It’s been amazing to see him in that show, to the point of which I feel guilty about not seeing his speech tonight, but it’ll be fine,” he added. Kieran and his Succession castmates took home the SAG award for best series overall.

Back in January, Pedro also said another funny comment about Kieran when he took the stage at the Emmy Awards in a sling. “A lot of people have been asking about my arm,” he began during the epic moment. “It’s actually my shoulder. And I think tonight is a perfect time to tell everyone that Kieran Culkin beat the s**t out of me.” The camera then panned to reveal Kieran, who showed off a completely blank, cold expression, which was seemingly planned with Pedro as part of the bit.

When Lily Gladstone won her first SAG Award, her competitor Emma Stone was her biggest cheerleader.

During Netflix’s live stream of the 2024 ceremony Feb. 24, the actress was shown jumping out of her seat and clapping furiously after presenter Jessica Chastain announced that Lily would be receiving the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her role in Killers of the Flower Moon. Emma was nominated in the same category for her performance in Poor Things.

“My friends, fellow actors. I feel the good and what you have done, what you do,” Lily said in her acceptance speech, later adding, “We bring empathy into a world that so much needs it.”

The 37-year-old continued, “Keep telling stories to everybody in this room, to everybody watching abroad. Those of you who are not actors but have a voice, have a story that needs to be heard. Thank you for all of the compassionate souls in this room and all of the storytellers here tonight. Keep speaking your truths and keep speaking up for each other.”

Travis Kelce, 34, and Patrick Mahomes, 28, continued their Super Bowl win celebration at the XS nightclub at Wynn in Las Vegas, NV on Saturday night and even took part in a sing-a-long. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end and quarterback joined music producer/DJ Marshmello and sang Queen‘s 1977 mega hit song, “We Are the Champions” and looked like they were having a great time. In videos filmed at the club, the athletes can be seen belting out the lyrics while encouraging fellow clubgoers to join them.

Travis was wearing a yellow and black patterned button-down short-sleeved top and pants while Patrick wore a mostly black and white graphic T-shirt and pants. The latter also wore a black backwards cap and sunglasses. They both also sprayed the crowd with champagne at one point as they thoroughly enjoyed the fun party.

In addition to playing “We Are the Champions,” Marshmello played Travis’ girlfriend Taylor Swift‘s hit song “Love Story.” The supportive beau flashed a lot of smiles and jammed to the popular tune as the crowd cheered. Before the club party, both Travis and Patrick also had a brunch party at LAVO at The Palazzo.

Travis and Patrick’s Vegas partying comes after the former took a two-day trip to Australia to visit Taylor during her Eras Tour. In addition to attending Taylor’s concert, he and the talented songwriter enjoyed a day at the zoo. They were also seen enjoying time on a boat after she performed to an enthusiastic crowd.

Taylor supported Travis, whom she’s been dating since last summer, weeks before the Australia part of her tour when she attended the Super Bowl in Las Vegas. The excited star brought along her family and some friends, including Blake Lively, when she cheered on Travis and his teammates at the big game. After the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers, she went out on the field to greet Travis with a hug and kiss. She also called the game “unbelievable” as he sweetly thanked her for traveling from Japan to get there.

That had marked one of two viral moments between the two during the team’s post-game celebration. Earlier in the night at Resorts World Las Vegas’ Zouk Nightclub, Travis sang along to Taylor’s hit “You Belong With Me” by the DJ booth as she watched. She later called the moment, “the most romantic thing that’s ever happened to me.”

The “Blank Space” singer and the athlete began dating last summer. During their recent rendezvous in Sydney, they enjoyed the summer weather again, visiting the Sydney Zoo together with friends, including Travis’ former Chiefs teammate, NFL free agent Ross Travis, who Taylor cheered on as he fed a lion. The men later watched the Grammy winner perform one of her Eras tour concerts at Accor Stadium.

“I understand now,” Ross wrote on his Instagram Story. “That. Was. Amazing.”
