“I enjoyed it a lot,” the actor said about joining the franchise. “I didn’t know what to expect because you never know how it’s gonna be like jumping in and joining something that’s so established, but they were delightful.”

It wouldn’t be a Downton Abbey movie without amazing costumes, which Michelle Dockery (Lady Mary Talbot) said were much more comfortable this time around thanks to the lack of corsets. But according to Laura Carmichael, another clothing item was just as painful to wear.

“Now it’s probably the shoes,” she told E! News. “There’s nothing practical, really, about the clothes that these ladies wear.”

The actress really enjoyed her character Edith Pelham’s looks in the film, especially the one she wore during scenes set in the South of France.

“I had some kimono dresses and wide pants. I love the bathing suits. I thought they pulled them off and looked great. With vintage pieces, the costume department had to work very hard to keep everything fresh.”

Were it not for a minor illness, Kristin Chenoweth‘s life could’ve looked a lot different.

The Tony Award winning actress reveals she was supposed to go on a camping trip to Camp Scott with her fellow Girl Scouts in June 1977. On the expedition, three young girls, Lori Lee Farmer, 8, Doris Denise Milner, 10, and Michele Heather Guse, 9, were sexually assaulted and murdered as the other campers slept nearby.

Now, 45 years later, Chenoweth is returning to her home state of Oklahoma in the ABC documentary Keeper of the Ashes: The Oklahoma Girl Scout Murders, in which she and investigators look deeper into the unsolved case.

“I should have been on that trip, but I had gotten sick,” Chenoweth explains in a trailer released May 16. “It has stuck with me my whole life. I could have been one of them.”

The actress adds, “It haunts me every day, but this story needs to be told.”

Get ready for more of your favorite celebs in teddy bear and bunny costumes because The Masked Singer has been renewed for an eighth season. Fox announced the news on May 16, along with the renewal of other unscripted series including Crime Scene Kitchen, Hell’s Kitchen and Next Level Chef. 

The Masked Singer—which is hosted by Nick Cannon and features judges Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger—is currently in its seventh season with the season finale premiering on May 18. The series sparked controversy this season when Donald Trump‘s former lawyer Rudy Giuliani was unmasked back in April. 

But President of Fox Entertainment Rob Wade said he has “absolutely no regrets” about casting Giuliani, according to Deadline.

“The Masked Singer is all about delivering jaw-dropping moments,” Wade said, “which is exactly what [we] accomplished whether it was on set or with the viewers at home.”

Other reveals this season include Christie Brinkley, Kirstie Alley and En Vogue.

There’s high drama brewing on the high seas!

First mate Gary King has his sights set on the newest member of Below Deck Sailing Yacht‘s crew in E! News’ exclusive sneak peek at the May 16 episode.

Stewardess Scarlett Bentley arrives to replace Gabriela Barragan—who hooked up with Gary—on the Bravo series. Originally from a small Southern town, she has been a native of San Diego for three years.

The Arkansas native turned California girl arrives to the dock in Minorca, Spain, and captain Glenn Shepherd takes Scarlett to meet the rest of the crew, including chief engineer Colin MacRae, new deckhand Barnaby Birkbeck, and her roomie and fellow stewardess Ashley Marti, who has also hooked up with Gary this season.

“Scarlett, there’s some more gentlemen in here,” Glenn says, leading her into another cabin to meet Chef Marcos Spaziani and Gary, and Scarlett immediately catches the first mate’s eye.

This new crush comes as no surprise, as ladies’ man Gary has already kissed every woman on board except for Kelsie Goglia and frequently talks about being in love with another of his hookups, chief stew Daisy Kelliher.

Move over, Jason Oppenheim. There’s a new potential Selling Sunset man we have our eyes on.

Back in April, E! News learned that Bling Empire star Kane Lim works for Selling Sunset‘s Oppenheim Group brokerage. And now, in an exclusive interview, Kane revealed that he would “love” to join the show’s cast.

“Chrishelle and I have worked together so we’ll see,” the reality star said. “I love real estate but it’s so fun being on Bling Empire that I don’t know if I could leave [it]. It’s something that we all started together and it’s been such a great relationship.”

He continued, “But if I have to jump on Selling Sunset, why not. I’d love that.”

The Oppenheim website describes Kane as “an experienced Real Estate Developer and agent [who has] sold three properties in the upscale Los Angeles neighborhood of Venice Beach” and “has recently focused his attention on Residential projects and Commercial properties in Asia.”

The description continues, “[Kane] possesses an innate understanding of market trends and enjoys the challenges and rewards of real estate transactions.”

The country music community honored the life and legacy of Naomi Judd with music.

Friends, family and fellow artists gathered at Nashville’s legendary Ryman Auditorium on May 15 to pay tribute to the late singer at a public memorial. The service—hosted by Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts—aired live on CMT in a special titled Naomi Judd: A River of Time Celebration.

Early in the ceremony, Wynonna Judd, who along with her late mother was half of the country duo The Judds, sang “River of Time.” Later, she paired up with Brandi Carlile for a duet of “The Rose,” recreating the band’s signature mother/daughter harmonies.

Among the other musicians paying tribute in song to Naomi were Brad Paisley, Carly Pearce, Ashley McBryde, Little Big Town, Jamey Johnson, Emmylou Harris and Allison Russell.

In an especially touching moment, country singer Martina McBride read a Maya Angelou passage to the crowd, while Bette Midler, Bono, Oprah Winfrey, Reba McEntire, Salma Hayek, Reese Witherspoon and Morgan Freeman all offered heartwarming testimonials.

Olivia Rodrigo ate and left no crumbs at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards.

Despite being absent from the ceremony, the “drivers license” singer scored the most wins of any artist. She took home seven Billboard Music Award wins—including Top New Artist, Top Female Artist and Top Hot 100 Artist—during her first time being nominated at the ceremony.

According to Billboard, the incredible night made for “one of the strongest showings by a new artist in BBMA history.” The outlet noted that the group Next won eight trophies in 1998 and Ashanti also won eight in 2002.

Olivia, 19, is currently in the midst of her SOUR Tour, taking the stage next in Phoenix on May 17.

And while she scored plenty of hardware at the BBMAs, Olivia didn’t sweep in every category. She lost out on Top Artist to Drake, who also won for Top Male Artist and ultimately brought his career total to 34. Doja Cat, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd were also nominated for Top Artist, with Drake and Taylor being two of only six artists in history who have won the award twice. Kanye West was the male artist to go home with the most wins.  

Machine Gun Kelly may be in love with an emo girl, but we’re in love with his manicure. 

The musician hit the red carpet with fiancée Megan Fox at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards on May 15, rocking a blinged-out nail set worth a total value of $30,000—which should come as no surprise, seeing as how the custom-designed claws boasted 880 diamonds, bringing it to a weight of more than 11 carats. 

The manicure wasn’t all for show, though. According to Marrow Fine Jewelry founder Jillian Sassone, the nails will be upcycled into a collection of limited-edition rings after the BBMAs. Even better, 100 percent of the proceeds from the rings will be donated to charity. 

Sassone worked alongside Nails of LA creator Brittney Boyce to create the impressive manicure, something she said she was “honored” to do in a press release. “Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox are one of the most featured and fashionable couples of the moment, so to design something so unique for charity was an offer I simply could not refuse.”
