Caitlin Clark didn’t make the initial cut of 12 players for the U.S. Olympic women’s basketball team, but there’s hope she might still join the team for the Paris Olympics.
Shams Charania from The Athletic mentioned on “Run It Back” that she’s the top alternate, ready to step in if any 12 players suffer an injury.
“I’m told Caitlin Clark and Brionna Jones are atop the alternates list for Team USA if there is needed to be a replacement,” Charania said.
