Buddy Hield open to trade options as contract talks stall
Buddy Hield and the Pacers have initiated discussions regarding a potential trade deal, following complications in contract extension talks, as revealed by NBA insider Shams Charania in his recent report for The Athletic.
While the Pacers did present Hield with an extension offer in the past few weeks, it appears that the terms of the proposal left the eighth-year guard feeling undervalued as a cornerstone of the franchise.
Hield is now receptive to the idea of a trade to another team, expressing his willingness to explore new opportunities.
However, as of now, there are no active and substantial negotiations underway with any other franchise. The Pacers currently do not feel an immediate urgency to finalize a trade.
