Bexar County DA declines charges against Josh Primo
The Bexar County Criminal District Attorney’s office has opted not to pursue charges against former Spurs player Joshua Primo, who faced accusations of indecent exposure, as reported by Tom Orsborn.
The decision, based on insufficient evidence, was announced by Bexar County DA Joe Gonzales on Friday, marking the resolution of the case against the young athlete.
Primo, who was waived by the Spurs on October 28, 2022, faced a tumultuous period as allegations of indecent exposure emerged following his departure from the team.
Despite the allegations and subsequent legal actions, Primo’s lawyer released a statement vehemently denying any wrongdoing. The statement emphasized that any exposure was inadvertent, and the accuser’s claims were challenged on the grounds of lack of good faith.
The developments culminated in Primo’s suspension for four games without pay on September 29, 2023. Shortly thereafter, on the same day, he inked a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Clippers, signaling a fresh start for the young player.
As of November 15, 2023, the Clippers elevated Primo from his two-way contract to a standard contract, providing a renewed opportunity for the athlete in the NBA.
