Best and worst performers from loss vs. Jets
The New York Giants closed out the 2024 preseason with a 1-2 record following a 10-6 Saturday night loss to the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.
It was an ugly showing for the Giants, particularly on offense, and inspired little confidence in the team’s depth. Compounding matters, several players left the game injured, including offensive linemen John Michael Schmitz and Evan Neal.
“These guys just played hard, the guys that played. I respect what they did. A lot of them competed (for) 60 minutes. Some played a ton of plays and I appreciate those guys’ effort,” head coach Brian Daboll said after the game.
